Cubits gifting idea

Someone getting the point lol

Even if someone could turn their unused cubits into a TOKEN just to use in shop for cosmetics only that would work and still not have cheats cheating even though we have people like that in the game anyways.

You can all buy me cubits with real money if you don’t like Ingame gifting :rofl: I only wanted some bubbles is that too much to wish for ??

If you can sell earned cubits then farming them would definitely be a thing.

I wouldn’t mind ‘selling’ these to my main either:

Knowing that there are a lot of players with more plots/cubits than me in game I guess this would be a hot market. Also some threads about people being upset they already bought plots on their alts

You can send cash on steam. Not sure about PS4.

Yesssssssssssss :+1:

My response was a reaction to saying that you could compare buying subscriptions and trade them, to trading cubits, not other ideas posted here

If you could gift cubits like you can gift stufd on steam, that’d be great! I’d be all for that.

However anything beyond that (aka trading cubits for gold, cubits as tokens etc) is just an open invitation to bots.

Whats the gain for WS here? Nothing. In fact, this will only discourage people from buying cubits. Lose-lose situation for WS.

My idea of it would be that cubits earned in game couldn’t be sold. It would only be cubits purchased from the store which could be traded for in-game coin. I think in this scenario, bots would be redundant?

Cool, I misinterpreted what you were talking about!

Make sure you save up ~3k cubits for the next time a special event comes around so you can avoid missing out  resist the temptation to spend them

If you don’t have a single item it must be more especially if there is body paint involved. but definitely the way to go.

Not really because you can bot for coin. This just creates a cash for coin scenario and farmers (bot or not) are still very relevant.

I’m not honestly sure which would cause more uproar.

I didn’t realise botting for coin was a thing. :worried:

I dont think this is a good idea. Boundless has found a way to make cubits a sustainable currancy without having to “pay to win”.
IMHO it would be a deal breaker for me and make me stop playing if the devs changed the cubits system in any way, because they have balanced it nicely to make sure that even without spending money you can get more plots, gear etc. through leveling.
The other bad effect this would have I am sure is that people would begin to perceive it as i said above a “pay to win” game and ditch it shortly after buying it. This could also turn off long time players as well.
I know plenty of players that even after level 50 level 2 to 3 times a day. That is 900 cubits a day x 20 days is 18k in cubits multiply that by 12 months and thats over 180k in cubits. Thereby making being able to give cubits irrelevant.
I don’t see how or why it is so difficult to earn free cubits to do what you want/need the way the system currently is. Besides you can get a couple thousand cubits for 10/15 bucks. So I don’t think there really is a problem at all with cubits the way they are currently.

Or for super fancy skills? Or for even nice animations (trail of stars or whatever)? or even just our current skills but each extra skill beyond the 100 points costs like 5x its original points (helps create a super character that eventually has all skills).

I would see rather tradeable xp than cubits

Yeah I wouldn’t agree with using Skill points into Cubits. Cubits need to be and stay baselined exactly like they are - earn some for a level and be able to use cash to buy them.

I understand there just so many unused skill points be nice to use them for something then them to do nothing but take space ingame

Personally I hope they will just revamp the skill tree and allow us to just use them instead of having a limit… maybe that will happen one day. I always believe characters should be able to do everything as long as they skill up into it.

a far better idea
