Curious how many players who play Boundless now-- or did when the game was more active-- Came from Minecraft?
I know some people played it or similar games before Boundless, but I am curious how many here played Minecraft before coming to Boundless? And-- Would you/Do you still while playing Boundless?
I didn’t come from Minecraft, however I do love the game and tend to go back and play it when someone asks, or when my son feels the urge to ask me to play it with him.
I helped run multiple modded servers before, and while I didn’t come straight from MC to Boundless, MC did lead me to it.
I Didn’t Come from Minecraft I recently got introduced to Minecraft about a month back from H.S.E. guild but it just didn’t stick, I enjoyed Exploring but just wasn’t for me
I hosted a modded SMP server with a little over 1000 community members back in 2012-2013 called Zero-Craft. I still play MC today and host a private server for my nephews. It’s a little bit sad to me, how i used to look at Oort Online, and see all of It’s potential as a massive community survival game with the potential and trajectory to replace Minecraft as THE forever game.
I started with Minecraft, even built a whole world to match that of one of my sci fi worlds. Had a glitch, and lost the lot. I had basically stopped after that. Boundless gave me back joy in a building game, but I’ve never again been tempted to build one of my own worlds in here. I stick to singular builds that grab my attention instead
I played Portal knights and Minecraft before Boundless. I don’t play much over there unless someone BEGS me to. Or I feel like doing pixel art. But I have a hard time staying over there compared to Boundless.
I played Minecraft on PC when it was 1st available (it was free and had horrible bugs - had to mine or place blocks 10 times before it worked sometimes), then I bought it for my PS3.
I was playing an open world sandbox MMO & an MMORPG when I discovered Boundless. I also played Creativerse, Ylands, and some other similar games.
Boundless ruined Minecraft for me. I’ll play MC for an hour once a year or so to check out the new content, but I just don’t like it much anymore.
I’d never played a building/crafting game until I played Boundless. I’d seen friends play Minecraft, but couldn’t get past the horrible basic graphics.
After playing Boundless for a year, I expanded out. Played Minecraft, Creativerse, Ylands, Portal Knights, Planet Nomads, etc.
I’ve burned out 3 times playing Boundless. Each time, I had wonderful people invite me to their guild to keep me playing.
First time it was HSE and their wonderful group of laid back players.
Second time was Beth and Spoodle with Brown Town
And most recently, it has been DragonsLair. I’ve been with DragonsLair the longest of any guild.
I find myself looking forward to the Gizmo Hunt every Sunday.
Well, I didn’t come to Boundless from Minecraft, but my colleagues recommended it to me back then. And I’ve loved Boundless ever since. Well, 14k hours says it all
Played Minecraft before boundless. As for returning to minecraft, heck yea! The modding really does make minecraft more expandable, replayable, and changes the game. Thats what draws me to minecraft is the player made mods.
For me I didn’t play Minecraft before I discovered Boundless. I discovered Boundless from browsing games on Steam and from videos on YouTube. I know of Minecraft only, because my son plays it on his Switch so I haven’t really played myself. I have dabbled with it a little bit off and on just to see what it was like. I was trying to get myself to like it so I could play with my son. But it wasn’t really my cup of tea. Mostly due to the graphics. But when I found Boundless I was hooked, because of the beautiful graphics, the quirky looking characters and how unique the game is. I still play off and on when I can due life being a bit more busy now.
