So I couldn’t find anything like this on the forums or on boundlesscrafting.com

Thought it might be helpful to collect this info in one place! So here’s what I’ve found so far:

Spark

1 x Peaty Soil = 20 Spark
1 x Wood Trunk = 30 Spark
1 x Wood Timber = 30 Spark
1 x Soft Coal = 100 Spark
1 x Medium Coal = 250 Spark
1 x Compact Peaty Soil = 300 Spark
1 x Hard Coal = 720 Spark
1 x Compact Soft Coal = 1200 Spark
1 x Compact Coal = 3000 Spark
1 x Compact Hard Coal = 9680 Spark

Time to Consume

1 x Peaty Soil = 5 Seconds
1 x Wood Trunk = 8 Seconds
1 x Wood Timber = 8 Seconds
1 x Soft Coal = ?? Seconds
1 x Medium Coal = ?? Seconds
1 x Compact Peaty Soil = 35 Seconds
1 x Hard Coal = ??? Seconds
1 x Compact Soft Coal = 120 Seconds
1 x Compact Coal = 180 Seconds
1 x Compact Hard Coal = ??? Seconds

I believe the hard coal is 720 and compact is 9680

Good info. Didn’t even know you could use compact call and get more value out of it. I’ll be doing that more often.

This is really neat :thumbsup:

This means that creating a mass batch of compact soft coal increases the output of one piece of soft coal from 100 sparks to 166 sparks. Save up that coal for mass batches, folks!

Don’t forget peaty soil and compact peat also I think compact peat takes like ages to be consumed

i knew there must be a use for peat! i’ll update it when i’ve tried it out unless anyone else has figures

Not sure what my rear-end has to do with this thread :neutral_face: also didn’t need a summons either (was that a summons?), as I always read everything … EVERYTHING!

I’ve already added it to my todo list to get this info onto boundless crafting in an appropriate place :wink:

1 hard coal lasts for 4 burning cycles
1 compact hard coal (10 hard coal) lasts for 53 burning cycles - 13 more
10 compact hard coal coal lasts for 526 burning cycles (80 hard coal) - 210 more
50 compact hard coal lasts for 2630 burning cycles (360 hard coal) - 1210 more

math behind
1 hard coal – 4cycles
1 compact hard coal – 53 – 53-40=13
10 compact hard coal(80) – 526 – 813 + 253 = 210
50 comact hard coal(360) – 2630 – 3613 + 1453 = 1210 MORE CYCLES!!

tl;dr dont smelt with coal, smelt with compact coal, even better with MASS compact coal
