Does using different furnaces really make a difference?

@olliepurkiss I wanted to ask if the type of furnace makes a difference in smelting. Currently it is:

x1.0 for Compact Soft Coal
x1.7 for Compact Medium Coal
x2.6 for Compact Hard Coal

I currently use an iron furnace, will a titanium furnace increase the speed of these times or is there any changes that we should know of if we are to change furnace from stone to iron and from iron to titanium?

So it does smelt faster actually doesn’t it? Someone told me in game, there is no tooltip about it but i guess smelting takes a few seconds less per ore
