Elemental Types - Which type to use on each planet

In the run up to the forge I figured I would put this here as we will soon be able to apply the characteristics of our favourite slingbows to whichever gem bow we like (more or less), leading to the question:
Which elements are effective against each world type?
well… bear in mind that this data is based purely on element resistance and doesn’t take into account the armours of specific creatures:

Munteen VII - Corrosive Type World

Element Resistance of creatures on this planet to these elemental attacks
Corrosion 80% resistance
Burn 30% resistance
Blast 0% resistance
Shock -30% resistance (have a chance to take increased damage than normal)
Chill 0% resistance
Toxin 60% resistance

Alturnik - Toxin Type World

Element Resistance of creatures on this planet to these elemental attacks
Corrosion 60% resistance
Burn 0% resistance
Blast -30% resistance (have a chance to take increased damage than normal)
Shock 0% resistance
Chill 30% resistance
Toxin 80% resistance

Andoweem - Blast Type World

Element Resistance of creatures on this planet to these elemental attacks
Corrosion 0% resistance
Burn 60% resistance
Blast 80% resistance
Shock 30% resistance
Chill 0% resistance
Toxin -30% resistance (have a chance to take increased damage than normal)

Vulpto - Burn Type World

Element Resistance of creatures on this planet to these elemental attacks
Corrosion 30% resistance
Burn 80% resistance
Blast 60% resistance
Shock 0% resistance
Chill -30% resistance (have a chance to take increase damage than normal)
Toxin 0% resistance

Epsilo - Shock Type World

Element Resistance of creatures on this planet to these elemental attacks
Corrosion -30% resistance (have a chance to take increased damage than normal)
Burn 0% resistance
Blast 30% resistance
Shock 80% resistance
Chill 60% resistance
Toxin 0% resistance

Nasharil - Chill Type World

Element Resistance of creatures on this planet to these elemental attacks
Corrosion 0% resistance
Burn -30% resistance (have a chance to take increased damage than normal)
Blast 0% resistance
Shock 60% resistance
Chill 80% resistance
Toxin 30% resistance

I appreciate that this is quite vague in places, but it at least shows a general idea of effectiveness of different elements against each other.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but each regional (server) ring planet and moon are each others’ weaknesses? That will make the straight line progress from starter to moon to ringworld easier as you can equip for your local lvl2 planet, but it gives resistance to cross-exploration

Not really, the only region that has this is Australia (Andoweem and Alturnik). Europe and US West’s moon worlds don’t have elements, so Munteen is weak to Epsilo’s element (and visa versa) Munteen is EU and Epsilo is US East. Vulpto is weak to chill (Nasharil)-- they are both ring worlds of different regions (US East vs West)…

Technically it is, because it was quoted. And even in the meta sense of the phrase, it would still be false, and at the least, a half truth.

So now explain to me how my titanium slingbow keeps getting elemental resistances when using it against mobs on Munteen IV…

Are you sure they are elemental? Planets have general physical resistance too, I think it’s 40%, ,I’m not really sure but it could be to do with creature armour too…

Not sure, but I was getting an elemental resister 0 text on hit frequently. Not used my titanium slings in a while, as I’ve not been huntil in a while. Had sling mastery 3.

Maybe it’s just that elemental creatures have greater physical resistance. I would have to check somewhere…

I hunt with iron, and also get frequent “elemental resist 0” popups. I think that elementals have a physical damage resistance % like we do, and that it may just be a probability related to Base dmg that is more noticable on basic weapons. For comparison a stone sling on alturnik gets resisted around 40% of the time by the elementals
