Gleam Club emojis seem to be broken, at least for me.
When I type : smile : for instance, instead of the smile emoji i now get this:
Also of note, even on the Gleam Club page, it looks brokeded:

Emojis are indeed broken, it’s in our database and being worked on 
Oh…they are chat emotes…no wonder i couldn’t figure out how to use them.
Are there any plans to add in-game emotes for console users?
You can do emotes in game on PS4 right now. When you open the chat box, use your cursor to press on the orange icon next to the text box, and you’ll see a list of things like:
Shouts
Message
Emote
Press emote and you’ll see a list of things there
I may be wrong about this, but I don’t think we are talking about the same thing. I’m talking about character emotes.
You know like “point” (character points), “stop” (flat palm facing forward), “come here/follow me” (classic arm waving “come here”)
That sort of thing. I don’t think console players really use chat functions, they just mime to each other.
I’ll get you a video today and see if we’re talking about the same thing

It works on chat and on settlement’s name, but prob not for signs
I don’t think you can use them on signs… I think they are for chat only.
