Erman is my farming alt, and he wanted to share with you his trepidation about the future of boundless. While Erman loves all things farming, his shed full of tills and seeds, his new planting technique which really helped with the new kindling farm. He is at heart a Goo farmer, in his free time he built a small goo farm hidden deep below Love, and slowly started mutating and growing goo to build up his collection. As time went buy he developed bigger and bigger farms, and a system to organise all the goo to get more of the colours he needed, he loved his times farming goo, and was getting ready to open his very own shop. Then the update hit testing, all of a sudden ermans world was turned upside down, and all those pigment coils he had the rest of the team build would have to wait till the update was out, he wouldn’t have to charge huge amounts for each spray can, and everyone would be able to benefit from all his time goo farming. Then, well he cant give up on the idea, I have been over and over it with him that it is not likely that monumental will release the testing update even if they ever do put work into the game, but he blames these ideas on my schizophrenia, and wont listen.
He is now stuck in limbo, with a ton of farmed pigments, and ready coiled machines, but he is refusing to use any of them, in the slim hope that someone in the world will pull their fingers out or put them in or something, and that the update will one day be released. Is anyone else having any of these issues with their alts? or is it just me… TBF even my main Samski thinks the game will get updates one day…
Sadly that update is not promised with new ownership as they are not obligated to follow thru with that one, but we can hope. They may have different ideas about what they feel needs updating. They have also mentioned they are want to work on new player experience first so it could be way down the road if ever.
Rin, my crafting alt, can’t help but feel that Erman is overthinking the situation. While she understands the dedication he’s put into his goo farming—his intricate setup, his carefully cultivated pigments, and the anticipation of opening a shop—she believes he’s missing the bigger picture. Rin argues that the essence of Boundless isn’t just in stockpiling resources or waiting for the perfect market conditions but in the journey of creation and discovery.
Rin has faced similar dilemmas. Her workshop is packed with blueprints and half-finished projects, all waiting for the right moment to be completed. But she’s learned that waiting for updates or ideal circumstances can lead to stagnation. Instead, she’s found joy in experimenting with her designs, pushing the limits of her creativity, and sharing her work with the community now, not later.
She gently suggests that Erman consider using his pigments and coils now, rather than keeping them on hold. The game world is dynamic, and what might seem like a disadvantage could turn into an opportunity. Even if the market for spray cans isn’t what Erman hoped for, there’s value in being a pioneer, in setting trends rather than following them. Rin believes that the best way forward is to adapt, innovate, and keep the spirit of Boundless alive, regardless of what updates may or may not bring.
So, while Erman waits for a potential future that may never come, Rin is busy crafting, sharing, and evolving with the game as it is. She encourages Erman to do the same, to embrace the unpredictability and find joy in the present, because that’s where the true adventure lies. After all, isn’t the real reward in Boundless the experience we create along the way?
so i have not had that or anything. but i have a hunter girl named starfighter, sadly when EZPZ went down i got kicked from the guild or something cuz i didn’t leave it and now i think almost 2 years?? i cant have a main guild with my poor girl. some people say rejoin and i can because there gone. others say start a new girl… yeah nah cant do that ether. almost level i think 350? and i have builds i don’t want to start over. so i deal with it… but it is a pain to hunt with no buffs, and some people think i am new or ask me why i don’t have buffs. even had some people not believe me. i asked Tiggs about it but i gave up for i don’t think there is anything they can do. this story maybe makes no since, but i do hope is a update dose come along it will fix it. or maybe they will know more by then to help me.
My alts and I have moved to the ANNOverse. Right now, we are raising a powerful Duchy in 1800’s space. Sometime next year, we plan a move to Albion in the 117’s, exciting times of change with many possibilities. Of course, we can always have a vacation on Mars in the 2205 verse, or revisit 1404, plus any of the other 4 time periods we have access to. Come November, the waters of Akhaten will once again flow free as the City ashes, and returns to the dust of time. We bid adieu to 5K+ hours, and those left behind.
I finally got around to doing some more farming, and I mentioned this to Erman, but he said it was going to be hard enough letting go of those sprays without it being his expected amounts. He thinks the community would benefit more from someone who believes in the update coming out holding on to their pigments until the sprays can be bountiful, some colours we only have 900 pigments, and Erman does not like to mix pigments… (don’t worry another of my alts has said they will gladly mix pigments).
