Exoworld Discord Notifications

Want to get a Discord notification when a new Exoworld spawns?

Want to be able to see at spawn time what the resource counts are for that world so you’re not wasting your time on duds?

Over at the TNT Discord server we have fixed our world scanner and are now notifying within our #exo-sightings channel whenever a new Exoworld is noticed!

If you’d like a role assignment to get the pings, you can pick it up from the #welcome channel where you would, of course, have read our server rules before exploring around

While you’re there, you can also use our Discord bot Nixbot-Lite to fetch data on the fly from any public world.

So, feel free to come along and check things out if any of that sounds up your alley

@DreamEvil please how i can check list of commands i can use at nixbot to get info about resources? not used them long time and totally forgot

You can type / within the #boundless-commands channel and it will give you a list of commands.

Some useful examples are:

/resource-count [resource] – Lists all worlds with that resource in decending order of concentration
/world-info [world] – Lists the details about a specific world
/world-resources [world] – Lists the resources that can be found on a specific world and their counts
/exoworlds – Lists all active exoworlds
/resource-height [resource] – Tells you the places to look to find a specific resource

Does this pull in the resource counts for exoworlds when they pop in? If so, awesome.

I know currently there isn’t any site with actual live data for resource counts or colors.

Currently, data is polled for all worlds once per hour, which is when it will announce any new exoworlds or public sovereigns that it discovers and what their resource counts are.

Interesting. You’ll have to DM me how you did it so we can get WorldPoster to post the resources and colors to the forums again.

Unless something changed over the years:

  1. I fetch resource data the same way Boundlexx does except I wrote mine in Node
  2. Colour data cannot be fetched from APIs and requires you to manually visit the worlds, which is not something I’m doing or have code to support

Aye. I couldn’t figure out a way to fetch the resource data via the APIs either, at least the APIs I have access to.
