Experiments with explosive Arrows

Hi all,

to all those who wonder whether it’s worth to craft explosives Arrows for cleaning and terraforming I’ve made a small overview.

All test targets are 5x5x1 Block in dimension. Meterials from left to right from top to bottom

  1. Lamp
  2. Sand
  3. Sandstone
  4. Polished Sandstone
  5. Gleam
  6. Stone
  7. Stone Chunk
  8. Ancient Timber

As you can see, the material has no influence on the outcome if you shoot the target with an explosive Arrow.

That’s what happens if you use 7 explosive Arrows to digg a cave in a hill.
when you consider that it took almost 30m to farm the explosive essences this is not a good result (even if stone is comparatively hard) => don’t waste your time farming for this purpose!

never the less it was fun to blow something up :smiley:

Pretty anticlimatic given that even Minecraft has something like [Blast Resistance] (http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Explosion#Blast_resistance).
But maybe it´s just the prototype explosion behavior to test it and something similar will come later.
Anyway, nice idea to check this.
