Extra Beacon

Good morning, my first question (of the day lol) is about this extra beacon I have hanging around and I’m not sure how exactly to get rid of it.

Being new, I placed my first beacon, and then while completing the beacon journal entries, I placed another a short distance away. Now I would like to remove the extra one. When I start removing it, it warns me I will be losing 101 plots. That’s all of my plots at the moment. When I go to the Home/MasterControl beacon and try to remove it, it also says I will be losing 101 plots.

So, how do I get rid of one? I don’t want to replot 101 plots, just get rid of the “extra” beacon. Also, how many plots does one beacon cover before I need a second beacon to expand?

Thanks! LimeRick

*I do see several topics on this, but most date from 2018, so I would expect that things may have changed since then.

If you have two controls in the same plotted area, you can remove the one that is not the Master Beacon by hitting it ten times. You don’t need to use the beacon menus for the extra beacon.

Ah, so simple, I completely missed it. Thanks!

Go to the beacon you want to keep and make it the master beacon. Press E (or Square for PS) go to the right most tab and there should be an option to set master beacon.

Edit: LOL, too late

One beacon can cover a whole planet if you want, so no need to use extra
