Farming minerals in the underdark?

Heyho. I just got the idea for farming not only crops and cattle, but also minerals below the earth. Like old wood deep under the surface is converted to coal, oil or even diamonds there may be a way to use such a function also in Oort. Imagine you build a beacon and dig deep below to put wood or other mats into the earth and a while later you can farm stuff like coal or gems.

That would also be great with plants like mushrooms or even cattle like the rothes in the Forgotten Realms in D&D

+1 for unique types of farming in terms of agriculture and geology and beyond.

This suggestion contains the word “the unerdark” therefore i love it.

Yeah, Ed Greenwood enriched our experience under the surface beyond any imagination ;D

Also, there could be some kinds of substances, plants or creatures only growing up in great hights like the top of mountains or flying plateaus. Think of special flowers and fruits, essences or flocks of bird like animals

this. I love the idea of flora growing in heights and below the ground

I like to do farm in underground caves. I cultivate trees there.
But gem’s farming… It’s incredible! :scream:

This makes sense, if you may found gem’s liquid solution. Therefore you can use this solution to grow crystals
