Finding Ancient Tech Components

I am relatively low level but need ancient tech components. Any suggestions on where they can be found. I would rather not buy them in shops.

T4+ worlds. Very rare on T4. T5 is a better bet.

You need them for a machine?

Yes, for a spark generator

You have any hazard protection? You’ll need that.

No, not currently.

You’ll need the appropriate Lvl 2 hazard protection for a T4 (I think).

Then, run to a mountain, seal yourself in and mine baby mine. I don’t believe they are elevation specific.

You can also, rarely, find them exposed on the sides of cliffs, but then you have to deal with the beasties.

Or, if you can find someplace with a basket buying waxy yams, you can go to a T3 and harvest the twisted plants for yams until you have enough to buy one.

Same thing for places like the block shop that buy rocks for 1c. Lots of mining, but steady money.

You can find them on T3 metal worlds. Under hills. I forget exactly but probably not deeper than 35 blocks.

You don’t need to go to T4.

Oops. My mistake then. We are talking about the red ones, right?

I’m pretty sure you get them on Ceph. Merika. Tier 3 world. There’s large canyons with cliffs full of copper and iron, too.

Biv, no not the red ones

Red are tech devices … tech components are the ones with the ribbon cables.

I’ll give you enough for a mass craft if you’d like, I have plenty. I’m in Quark on Angel 1. We have a portal in Gyosha Mall. I should be back on around 7pm PST. Or I can meet you anywhere you’d like.

Thus my mistake.
Sorry @JohnGaming

I always have to think twice when figuring out which is which …I would sometimes start a recipe on a machine which sometimes needs one of them and go to my storage only to go back to the machine again to double check which one it was I needed.

I’d go to cardass for those. All along the high ridge walls. Plenty just running around. I can get you coordinates if you’d like!

Thank you for the information I don’t really need coordinates as I don’t need many.

T3 worlds are good enough for them. Not plenty but enough. Just get atlas to make sure you don’t waste time looking for them in the wrong places.
Advantage for lower lvl player is that you don’t need spend skill points to get atmosphere protection. Also easier to survive as you only meet stout mobs.

As you get more skill points you go and mine on higher tier worlds without too high risk of dying and getting penalty.
