I GUESS THIS IS MOSTLY WRONG AGAIN, AFTER THE MOST RECENT PATCH Thanks to @Jiivita for the original post (images, formatting, data etc…) and to anyone who contributed to that thread in any way. There is teaching food, it does not give you XP but increases your XP gain for a set amount/time.
