I need help. For a week my beacon has not got footfall. I get random people that come alot. And they r not friends or in my guild. I checked and its not hooked to a guild share. And i have 1,237,088 prestige. So what am i missing? Its also my home beacon.
As you checked your beacon it should have refresh the % it generates per visit. Unless the beacon belongs to an alternative character…. Which hasn’t visited in a while (at some point FF generation per visit goes to 0% if not a minus %), so make sure the character that owns said beacon has visited it.
That said did the maintenance at both hubs Friday (quickly and a bit on the late side). And the new visit % was low over the week as not much FF was generated. So it can also be that it’s a “meh” week
Saying new visit % because repeat visits within a certain time generate less to non FF per visit.
Does your beacon info tell you anywhere that you are below the required compactness, or anything about “unable to resolve” in the settlement info?
Do you have more than one beacon in the settlement? Only the first beacon they visit of yours in the settlement will generate footfall.
I know how that works. And i really get new people. So for a week no ff? When i got new people coming by?
It is the first beacon they come to when you come from the TNT portal.
Check for any area between this beacon and any other that is only one or two plots wide between them and if you see spots like that add a few plots.
Your beacon is bridging another one and that could prevent the footfall.
The timing on that post is amazing
I just got up and opened the forum so that’s a laugh. Anyways yes I couldn’t remember the verbiage but you won’t make footfall until this is resolved:
Looks like @georgegroeg already found the spot.
You can “thicken” those spots vertically if you want your road to stay 1 plot wide.
If I’m understanding the map correctly doubling vertically these 5 plots would fix this particular problem spot.
If you widen it will take about 7 plots to fix it looks like. If all of this area is one plot tall you could also fix it by removing one plot.
That one.
Oh ok i think i know what it is thank you
I know what it os now. I have been taking down a moution slowly cuz keep running out of plots. Been working on it for 2 weeks now. So thats what is my problume is. Ty everyone for helping me.
Yeah when you see bleu stripes (white plots) that means the beacon you are in is invalid.
Something went bye bye as it isn’t possible to plot your self to -0 compactness. Only when something goes that used to be there.
Technically if you see the bleu strips in your current beacon where ever… fix it because your beacon is at -0 compactness can only see that if you look in your menu-places-Beacons.
Beacon it self doesn’t say a lot if memory serves menu is the way to go to check compactness.
No problem. Also if you’re short on plots but want footfall in the meantime you can just remove the one plot there, and re-clear it when you’re ready with more plots.
It’s ok for your beacon to have red-striped plots all around it, or in the middle. But when two white spots form and the only thing connecting them is the red ones, you get this error.
So you can add or remove to fix it because trimming/breaking the new white spot is as effective as thickening/whitening the red spot. If the coins are a notable part of your budget it’s an easy temporary fix.
Oh, how I understand you.
