Oh yes they are indeed fun and I do forge the occasional one for myself or friends. But the increased power you get from them doesnt even come close to scaling with the increased cost and difficulty of forging them.
Gotcha. Iāve never tried to forge a lucent bow before and can only imagine
. Heck I stick to only forging diamond cause the rest of them are such a headache(not that diamond isnāt but itās slightly less of one lol)
Donāt even bother. Itās a nightmare and kinda pointless lol
The last time the hammers dropped was from powerman and Aeana. Now we have Mr. Nix sitting at 5200 T6. Like ghandy said. A little profit. Iām pretty much giving them away at my price. That is why I forge 3 times a day. I have my own diamond world so Iām good with hammers and the ingredients for a bit. Iām hoping I can maintain my price but if you want a hammer to check it out, let me know Iāll give you a couple.
Here have some hate ;3
So, you have your own diamond world, you have your own high priced request baskets and you got the time to forge 3 times a day. You are not trying to bring down hammer prices, you try to dominate the market and push competitors out of the market by dumping prices to a low.
You do not burn the material sellers you are not helping anyone you push your own business, itās a valid strategy but do not sell it as a humanitarian gift.
People lowering the price is exactly why Iām not forging anymore. Thereās no profit at those prices. And forging isnāt fun for me. Iām not sure how youāre going to be able to sustain a stock at that price but best of luck to you and I hope you donāt burn out.
Lol guy dude. Did you even look at my request baskets?
Oh I donāt maintain a stock. If itās sold out. Then we are sold out until I forge that day again. I put out about maybe 2 Smart Stack of hammers. Itās a coop store where we all pool in for resources.
Ah dont worry I am not mad, just stating the obvious.
tbh been pretty lazy , mainly cuz i am a lazy ā ā ā , but also to have people support other forgers
(so i am supporting other forgers by not stocking up LULz)
my prices vary from 7777 to 8888 (you can see a pattern in my laziness)
compared to most forgers i suppose it is overpriced ( less sales - less forges that need to be done)
it is also easier to keep track of what tools i need to forge since i do 80% handtrade with friends.
players that i know that they are set in the game pay around 6k or 7k (still a good discount in my opinion ) which in return enables me to have new or returnig players get the stuff at around 5k or for plainly owing me favors or manual labour.
i play alone , i got to gather by myself/ buy most stuff ,except for the gems.
i know i am one of the reasons that forged tools dropped to 20k prices back then but i found it reasonable enough to have about 15k profit out of 5k material cost.
i just would have had a bad concience to ask for more.
in a way i did what virtual eclipse stated but i also discussed those prices with other forgers (for example goddessforger/serenity)
it was also intended to counteract real money trade which actually happened
(ayyyy wanna buy a hammer for 60k or 3 ?? lololol )
i regret nothing, i had a blast back then as an active forger and loved all my customers.
now i do what i want and take the most fun out of the game i can get . forging is a hobby now
āIf youāre good at something, never do it for free.ā - The Joker
Iāve even tried forging lucents on the test server. Youāre right about it being a nightmare. After a couple of tries, I gave up.
In my opinion forged Tools should be 10 k and more because its time Invest for gathering or requesting and forging itself .
And 1 Tool say a T6 hammer you get 50k and more Out of ITā¦
Just my opinion
If forged tools were worth 30k, they would sell for 30k, if they are worth 5k they will sell for 5k.
I donāt understand this dilemma over what the concern of the costs are.
Bic and Montblanc both make pens. One of them is $.20 cents. the other is $2000 dollars. Theyāre both the same function - they write.
If people honestly think the forges are worth so much more, then why are people not buying up all these forges and reselling them for a profit? At the end of the day, due to the costs of materials going down as more players joined the game, the costs to make the hammers and other tools went down as well. I mean hell we all remember when hopper cores were 10k and roadrunner feathers were 30-50k and gems sold from 500-1k⦠thatās when hammers sold for 30-50k. Then forging itself was changed, people learned more about combinations to forge with and streamline the process making it cheaper still.
At the end of the day, if someone doesnāt think the profit is worth the time they should certainly quit doing it. If enough people do so then prices should go up accordingly, as the people supplying at low rates should be bought out too fast to recover⦠or others start forging as well and sell at the same prices because that is the price the market dictates?
Thatās the thing with an economy, we individually canā't decide what a price is or should be, but we can collectively. The fact we havenāt had someone with deep pockets, and I know there are plenty, come in and buy all supplies out and relist at x price in a mega corp astounds me really. If this was EVE, it would have been done long ago⦠if they were worth a much higher cost.
Itās a player run market with no standardized pricing. So prices are subject to the players whim.
100k hammers!
2k hammers!

Actually I think the prices went down drastically because of less players and ff change. Less income so everything had to follow. Then we got the minter and everyone started getting more coin but prices more or less stayed the same across the board.
Ok. We will go with your version of why prices fell as correct.
Question remains, if they are worth so much more why is someone not buying up the supply and relisting for the āprice they are actually worthā? Cheap makers should burnout fast given common sentiment as to cheap sellers and higher priced forgers donāt quit because they can get the price they want. We had people doing that at the beginning, and eventually the lowcost forgers raised their prices or quit from burnout. Seems like people quit doing this, likely because they couldnāt turn over the inventory at higher prices any longer.
How prices initially got to where they are aside, they should have rebounded to their āworthā over the period of what, 2 years? Seems like they are priced at what they are worth.
