As a founder for the crafting/building/survival/exploration game Pax Dei, I have a free game key to give out. Pax Dei got a lot of bad press over the last few months as some of the things they wanted to get into the game for 1.0 they weren’t able to do yet but I just crossed my 100th hour with the game since 1.0 EA launch on October 14 and it’s quite amazing and scratches a similar itch that Boundless does for me.
If you are interested in playing, let me know. I’m not sure how I’ll decide who to give the key to yet but it will get you a free copy of the game. Note that there is a plot system in the game to claim land and build and that plots require plots tokens. Plot tokens must be purchased with real $ but you get one for free to start. Each plot token lasts one month. There is no subscription for the game other than plot tokens nor is there a cash shop. Subs for plot tokens come in 1, 2, or 4 tokens per month varieties and range from like $3.99 to $18.99/mo. The dev is also looking to add the ability to just buy plot tokens straight up in the near future as well in case you want to stock up on them. Each month, each plot you have will just attempt to consume a token from your total. If you don’t have a token for a given plot, it warns you and you have a couple days to decide before it nukes your stuff.
The crafting and building are VERY in depth (and satisfying imo) with a ton of crafting stations with lots of interdependencies. They are really pushing the community aspect and not making it easy for folks to do “everything” - rather they encourage specializations and community teamwork. Last thing I’ll say is that every single piece of gear in the entire game is made by players. There are dungeons, PvE, and such but only crafting mats and gold drop.
Please only ask for the access code if you are going to seriously play for at least a month and consider buying some plot tokens for after.
