I clicked the red one, you see it because my answer is not linked to his post.
They could just return bomb mining how it was, if i compare it to aoe hammers it wasnt OP at all.
With a proper forged aoe hammer i clear like 27 blocks a second and get rocks+xp. With the old bomb mining it took me like 10 seconds or more to setup a 5 radius explosion and got nothing but the resources.

I know right? But then somebody used hopper cores to build a hydrogen bomb and posted a video and instead of banning nukes they banned bombs.
