Forging my own tools. In theory, I could get all the stuff I need to make all the other stuff I need then follow the tutorials out there to make them… but it is a lot more relaxing and straightforward to simply go smash rocks and mobs then sell things so that I can buy off others willing to do all that. 
I actually do want to do a little before long simply to get the achievements attached to it.

Gotta agree. Tons of forging stuff. Never forge for myself though. I just enjoy the little jars on my shelves

I’ve honestly never used or crafted Blink, Rift, or Umbris tools, even though I have tons of blink and plenty of coin to buy them with.

For a long while I hadn’t been to every planet lol… Then I finally wanted to make my own blinksec xls sheet so I went to each. Now I haven’t explored every region or actually filled out all my points on my characters - most just have the basics.

Same as the others + not completing all achievements. I think a few of them are bugged and not completable at the moment. There are def a few I could go ahead and knock out though.

never forged a darn thing and probably never will.
The reason I started selling coils (easy to make though time consuming) many many moons ago was so I could afford forged tools (pain to make and even more time consuming) to go grabbing lovely coloured building mats etc
Now, if we did suddenly ran out of forged goodies, I should have enough bits and bobs in storage to start forging (def have the coils!) but really hoping that day will never come…
now that was an odd time…chisel marks all over the place

It was hilarious when they changed chiseling xp and we realized the ugly chisel marks were the only things causing the surface mats to regen.
Edit: For those who weren’t around at release, unless a block was changed in a chunk the regen wouldn’t kick in. So those of us who knew of it would dig out the block under a surface resource node when we harvested it.

Been playing since 2018 and I’ve never gone to a single big hunt. I just whack whatever random critters try to eat me whenever I go out to gather plants and seeds, and one-shot any roadrunner I see with a forged Gold Fist for Oort/Adrenal Glands.
