You need to mix in mixer compact clay with stones, and then burn it in furnace

In compactor, and yes spark only.

I find compacted med coal best, as i find much more med coal compared to hard.
Just a hint for those planning to burn a lot of stuff, in the long run you’ll probably want at least 3 compactors, 1 each running soft and med coal exclusively as you can burn through it much faster than you can make it.
NB IN THE LONG RUN, dont go envy hard coal when you’re still building with stones and chopping with copper tools
