I think many people would agree that a opt out of settlement option could help towards minimizing frustrations of the player base. This was proposed many times and I don’t remember there being a downside to it.

This is a great idea.
Very happy about this update as I am one of the victims of this and it is from a very loud voice or two in this chat who have prestige ambitions only.

The downside is if a line of people in the settlement opted out it could split the settlement. Iirc.
IMO settlements shouldn’t have to be perfectly contiguous.

I hate that theyre cluttering up my skyline in xafrant but you know what they serve a purpose and its their plots so i respect that even if i may not find it attractive. its called ADULTING lol

I wish people would make them look cool. Like turn them all into spaceships and hot air balloons and zeppelins.
I would totally support James giving 1000 plots to the owner of each hunt platform network to enable them to do this.
Im the last person to tell someone how to build but me personally I dont like my skyline clogged with anything but thats my preference but not a reality here nor would i impose that on others, because creativity is creativity and sandbox is supposed to be a place to express that.

Guys, has anyone tried the new system in test mode? I have now tried it, and i think that many of the monopolists have enough plots to afford such roads.
How many plots in length is one road across the entire planet? I think it is possible to calculate the size of the required base.

around 560 to 576 for one line of plots from N to S

@Dulki It looks like minimum 1120 plots is required for one road. My God, this is really a lot and will require a large foundation!)

this is just gonna be a endless war between the haters and the likers.
both have to compensate and communicate about the possible changes. if you have 1 party that does not want to communicate then the other party has the right to continue!

It seems to me that you will be the first who will be left without the right to have their own roads and without the right to capture everyone home). Or you can empty your parents pocket a little more or spend a couple of thousand hours in the game in pursuit of prestige and finally go crazy in this wonderful and kind game
