Game is crashing very frequently multiple times a night for multiple people

So me and 2 friends just came back to the game and have All been having random game crashes mainly while placing or editing blocks(chiseling mainly). They can happen every 5 mins, they could happen for 2 hours straight and randomly stop. There is no constant to them other than we all have been getting disconnects mainly while chiseling. Ive gotten this on 2 different computers, verified game files, booted as admin, rebooted, everything… Never had this issue till what 3 days ago..

Any help is appreciated.

There’s been a couple of these threads in the past couple weeks. I’m pretty sure all of us at this point are having seemingly random crashes. Sometimes they go away for a couple days or even weeks, and then they just come back..

I would notice it on Hunts when someone would throw a healing grenade, or a mass digging near the meteors. It would just crash to the desktop for me.

Are you all on PCs? That is one thing I’ve noticed seems to be a common factor for the rest of us that randomly crash out.

It’s weird. I haven’t had more than the occasional lag spike for a while now. Game hasn’t crashed in a couple of years now for me.

I have recently come back, from having a 4-5 month break and I am experiencing crashes. Not often, but before this point I didn’t crash at all. Did anything get changed the last few months?

Same, have never had any problem with boundless, but lately it crash out when digging stones or wood, randomly days.

I’ve recently returned from a 4 year break. I haven’t experienced any issues other than the occasional random lag. I am on PC

Until last Sunday I had not seen any crashes just occasional lag. But I crashed 4 times while prepping my planet for the hunt. Funny part during the hunt more people more meteors more bombs and no crash. Just random i guess.

I get the crashes too it seems to be random definitely a thing for some!

This has changed and interestingly, is probably the reason for the increase in crashes: World Update Frequency

And yes, Boundless has been less stable for me as well ever since…

Idk if this is where I say this… But I am scared I can’t leave sanctum at all. Not even to home
Or anyone random or anything I am stuck (and it’s not my Internet) please tell me I am not the only one.

I was having this problem until a week or so ago, and then just as suddenly as they started, they just stopped, and I have no problems at all. knocks on wood

This was my initial reaction as well. It was so intermittent at times, and now I haven’t had even a single instance of it crashing in the last two weeks. In the weeks prior I was experiencing exactly the same as they are describing above.

Its totally random. I can log on and crash in 5 min, or it can be an hour or two, then 3 to 5 crashes in a row, from placing a block, to chiseling, firing a slingbow, to just turning, then nothing for hours again. There is zero consistent pattern far as I can tell. For me, the problem existed before the World Update Frequency chance, and I haven’t noticed a substantial change after. I live USE, but play on a USW world, time of day varies because my RL schedule is all over the place.

I think 2 of the 4 discovery servers were in a bad state. I restarted them and now they seem back to normal.

I’ve crashed 3 times in the last 30 minutes, I was just placing blocks :confused:
