Is a topaz grappling hook the same as a ruby one? How about hammers and spaners. Lets share our experiences for posterity. later today I think I will make a gem hook and test it. I will let you all know how it goes.

I would love to help you out with information, but at this time the only gems I’ve been able to find are rubies. Hell, I’ve even had trouble finding which planets carry which gems. I searched the forums a fair bit, maybe I’m missing a post.
I do know that each of the grappling hooks have different characteristics based on the material used to make them.
Munteen has amythist
Nashril has sapphire
Alturnik has toaz
Vulpto has ruby

Amethyst grapple has a long reach and is fast.
Ruby has a slightly shorter reach but is supper fast.
Be carfal desending over lava!
As far as durability goes I colected 50+ fossils in a deep cave and the durability barly went down.
Any one use a gem hammer yet? Tell us about them plz.
I think using different gems have the same things but i’m not sure 
Also just in case if anyone that doesn’t know gem hammers can destroy a block in three hits

i use ruby hammers, they’re a little bit better than gold hammers.
