nothing was affected by inflation as much as oort though I think… showing it’s the most in-demand commodity

I will say that a lot of people came together to make the Oort price lower and really it could be done across the board on a lot of items. With a lot less hunts and people, we have a lot less of the rarer materials like Oort, hopper cores, feathers, lucents, and less forged goods due to fewer forgers.
The crazy prices were/are only that high because people still paid that price for them. We could all technically come together on all the prices as a whole and lower them some, but as we all stated earlier there will always be those few people who don’t. Granted people don’t have to buy/sell to those people, but the economy is a game within a game to many.

Once the Oort Shard buy price goes lower than 50, I’m lowering my prices to 29c (and planning real mass production)
Glad to see y’all get together for something new 
(although I did lose about 500kc during the original market flood [and physically couldn’t open the game] , I wholeheartedly support this endeavor)

Lets not forget a big part of the other things being higher like forged Items. Materials! We used to have a lot more people that all they did was farm stuff whether it was spicy beans, sweet beans, Inky leaves etc. We don’t have the population like that any more. Simple supply and demand. Oort was over inflated due to certain individuals that wanted to drive it up on purpose, they had billions of coin and successfully did just that. Sadly until now when this post was made no one has made an effort to bring it back down. Thanks you MajorVex and others for the effort you have made to help this along. The smaller amounts on the lower price stands I think is a good idea as well that many have started doing as it is making it take a lot of effort for resellers to gather it, which I think slows them down a bit. I have noticed that some that don’t read these forums have also noticed the market is trending down a bit and have adjusted their prices. I have spoke to several that were buying high and we have all brought our buy prices to just above sell to slow reselling down. I think if we just keep up that train of thought we can stabilize it at a lower cost to the community.

I’ve let all my portals die due to the extreme prices, but you guys really managed to bring the price down. Even though I cannot buy bulk, I may just play the game and buy little by little to re-open and maintain my portals. This is great for someone like me, who doesn’t have time to hunt.

You got to find the love of the hunt. Did you know that there are creatures out there that say you can’t make a weapon strong enough to take them out? I’m not one to gossip but if I were you I’d go grab your weapon and teach that creature a lesson. You can find oortBuster’s hunts weekdays 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Eastern standard Time. Or maybe you want to grab a ton of oort in one day at the Gizmo hunt? Hunt leader skullz is probably still having a hunt right now as we speak.icecrmcone hosts hunts as well. These are just a few of the ones I know of. There are so many opportunities to get your oort. Sadly they have never fully implemented the mining option. But grab a shotgun slingbow and teach those creatures a lesson with the community watching your back on some of these level 5 planets you can challenge yourself and if you’re really feeling froggy find yourself on a t7 all alone with nothing but your shotgun blast slingbow and a dream. Worst case scenario everybody is lowering the price on this oort for those who just don’t want to hunt can still purchase and maintain portals.

A little note to everyone:
Going on a hunt is the best way to get a ton of oort and supplies. You get lots of extras that you can sell to crafters that need them for forge supplies, food, brews, etc. You’ll get hundreds of oortstone that you can refine, keep, sell, or use to power your portal(s). You’ll gain XP and probably level up.
I know there are some people that think it’s too hard to keep up with a hunt or worry they might die a lot - it will be ok. Try it once, at least.
There are usually healers present that will revive you and you can grapple to safety to heal if needed. Hunters of all experience levels can attend. Just follow the hunt leader the best you can and listen to their instructions along the way. Sometimes, hunt leaders will stay behind to open a fast travel portal for newer/slower-moving hunters so they can re-join the group up ahead. They got you
Hunts are sometimes posted here on the forum, on the main Boundless discord, and announced in-game. Catch one that fits your available time & have fun

I second Major Vex’s comment, and would include, you don’t have to stay the whole hunt, some run for a couple of hours, and maybe that doesn’t work for you.
Also, I was able to get just over 550 rough oort the other night in 2hrs, i wasn’t kidding when I said normally you could get 200 in an hour lol. But hunts need numbers to get bigger meteors, which bring more loot for everyone. 20 is the target most want to get to, but not all 20 have to contribute a ton, and lots of hunts have give a ways after the hunt if you are able to stay the whole time.

I noticed that Lucky 7 shop is never seen on there at least whenever I see a picture of the prices that somebody posted. however lucky seven shop does sell oort at 360 now . Sometimes I won’t allow a plynth to be discoverable in hopes that people keeping an eye on the market won’t be able to just see as soon as I put it up there and one person take it all the time. However this one is discoverable and yet not noticed on pricing charts that are posted. Also I do not look at any of this stuff I don’t check out how many players are playing the game I don’t check out what EXOs are coming I don’t look at the prices of products .I just like the surprise lol.

Guess they don’t realize they will make more selling quantity at a lower price. Oort is available enough that one should never have to buy at this price.

I’m not good at asking for help - but as we have the Oortmas event starting early, and I’m getting low, if anyone feels inclined to sell stones or shards at a lower price, please consider selling at the shop stands at Giggleswick.
