I put a skill point into tech, and tools, and machine. Still can ONLY craft stone tools. WHAT AM I MISSING HERE?!?!?!?!?!
you need a workbench for the higher tools (metal and up). You craft the workbech at the crafting table and will get 4 blocks (boxes) of it. This have to be placed next to each other (no matter if a tower, long bank or a “L”) to get the machine you want

Ah ty I had started a new base on a different planet and didn’t have one of those yet. Thought the game was just busted.

How about brew crafting? What do I need to brew something?
For this you need Extractors and Mixers

The knowledge tab is also a good source of information.
And a forge. Apparently we cook at extremely high temperatures!
