Glass is awesome and adds an depth of aesthetic to builds. Would it be possible to allow a square chisel to operate on glass? It would sure make creating more beautiful window in half block walls or trimmed window pane designs

Frameless glass

With only ever allowing cubic-glass, it wouldn’t be too hard no, but at some point we would like to allow the glass to be chiselled too if we can, and then it becomes “very hard” to have a consistent “frame” in-texture around the glass. Having a consistent frame is basicly what texture blending is doing, but we only support texture blending on “standard-slopes” and not on square or bevelled shapes (because the effort involved would be monstrous), but texture-blending also largely relies on blend…

I think you may have misunderstood. The post says that “at some point we would like to allow the glass to be chiselled too”. Isn’t that what you wanted?

I replied from work so my wording was abrupt. I mean that I will have to be more creative with the current system till changes are made. I really have enjoyed the game and meeting new people. I am looking forward to seeing what the future brings.
