If you use text it gets changed to the short code when you finish the sign
yup
I’ve seen people get frustrated with misspelling color names, spaces, etc…so I always tell them to use the code/characters instead
Is there a list of hex codes = colors?
There is a color spreadsheet
The Boundless colors (this is great if you’re trying to match a color)
(click on the tabs on the bottom of the page to switch to the color code list)
I usually just google “hex color picker”, since I’m usually in a hurry & it works straight from the browser
Thanks for the response, @james!
Personally I tend to use https://coolors.co/ - it’s great for getting theme colors for websites and the like (if you’re into that).
Can we have gleam signs use wood & stone sign mechanics for default text coloring? Because white gleam signs default to white text without GC so we end up with white on white which is rather difficult to see. Given gleam signs have the capabilities of all colors like stone and wood, using the same default text coloring option as stone and wood on gleam signs would help go a long way with making non-GC text on white gleam signs more legible (As it’d default to black which has a much, much higher contrast rating than white on white).
I thought black and white were non-GC colors that anyone could use.
(I’ve had GC since launch, so I dunno)
Just a suggestion, you could add the base colors for non-gc member like white, black, red, orange, blue, yellow, purple, pink then if you want to be cool you get gc to get all the other colors + emojis. @james
Nope, when I originally built my Glitchworld shop, the text on the building was white on white and rather difficult to see. I primarily picked up GC so when I got around to remodeling it I could fix that snafu with the GC-exclusive :#000000: color code on my signs there.
