I was playing around and shot a Spitter with my grapple and I carried it to my friend. He killed it and collected its drops, but it still showed up on my screen. So then I shot it a few times and I got the drops too. I am sure this is just a glitch! =)
Was it dead when you shot it ? The creature drops are for each person. Everyone can collect from the same creature kill

This isn’t the same exact topic but can multiple people collect from meteorites?

Meteorites and creatures will drop loot/items for everyone within a certain distance. Meteorites will also drop lesser loot on completion and when dormant for a period after becoming inactive.
