The event has been running. It ends on Sunday, but there was no forum post announcing it.

There was the in-game event announcement leading up to the event which I figure should count

Events show when you go to exchange in game there is a timer there usually just days before it starts, and a timer. Then once it starts the timer start again with time left in the event.

Don’t Listen to them Doom Sayers your doing a Good Job Posting Events l like seeing them tells me there’s still a Heart Beat/Life in the game
As in not seeing them is like we’re getting close to the end feeling 
the Little Things like a simple post is a Positive feeling for the community even dough there a ton of Negative dont let the Negative get to you @Tiggs

You need to tell the naysayers to go kick rocks. A notification about something like this is important, even if it’s about a returning event. Those like myself appreciate being informed.
And to the doom and gloom people, as we say here in the South…

why bother? Well, it might bring some back into the game just for the event, but it would also show those still here you at least are still trying. Only you guys at Monumental can decide if an event notification post is worth the time it would take to craft and post.

For such a small community, I’d have to agree the amount of negativity and toxicity at times on these forums are enough to make one not even want to be here at times.
I check these forums all day every day, but I totally cringe when I come here most times. I know when I go through any post no matter the topic, I am going to get some form of negativity or some jab at Monumental or Tiggs.
This very post is the same way. If you care about the Halloween event like I do, you could just go log into the game and see if it is live, which it (was). Instead, you get people questioning if it’s live.
Tiggs does many things in other communities too and has numerous other duties and a life…I do agree the Halloween post would have been a nice little touch, but to back up Tiggs a bit, people do troll any positive post by Tiggs with negativity. Example:
That has zero to do with the Halloween event… but it’s a nice quick jab. For a game with a VERY small playerbase, if the intention is to get the game shutdown, please continue… this number will only go down.

Anyway, I don’t understand why people here get upset just because the event wasn’t announced in the forum. In the game, it’s always shown in good time when it starts, but I think that’s enough

I think what makes it worse is that many of the negative, and sometimes nasty, comments come from people that have allegedly stopped playing the game.
I would hate to work as a community manager for any game. It’s an absolute poisoned chalice.

Query, would you count my response as negative? I was merely trying to be analytical to point out the pros of making a post vs the time cost in making a post because Monumental is a business, without judgement for either path. But I know in text intent doesn’t always come through.
