If you need any help getting started again, I’ll be glad to help. I’ve been playing for about 2 1/2 years now. I remember running across you a few times.
A lot of thinks have come and gone. Duskmoor went up in smoke, and a lot of capital cities are either gone or changed.
Some people have left the game and watch the forums for when the Devs return to active development and release the next update. The game has been in maintenance mode for a little over a year and it probably will be for another year.
About 90% of the Dev team is currently working on Baldur’s Gate 3 and won’t be back to active development until it’s finished.
Beacon compactness and reclaim were introduced.
Compactness means that your plots have to be compact and not spread out with gaps in between. You can check your beacons compactness by clicking on the name of your beacon under the beacon menu. If compactness reaches 0, you won’t be able to place any more plots until you fix the issue.
Reclaim was added so that with expired beacons, the builds would ash and all the material would go into cloud storage until you place a beacon down and reclaim the items.
just curious whats the other 10procent off devs doing lol
Welcome back I too will extend a helping hand out. If you need anything just give a shout.
Sadly, the games development has halted and there is no guarantee whether any further development will ever happen. With the state of development being up in the air that doesn’t detract any from the game itself and it is only as fun as you make it.
I do hope regardless you give the game a chance again and find enjoyment in it. Development may have halted, but the game is still enjoyable as long as you allow it to be.
Welcome back!
Actually 100% of the developers are working on Baldur’s Gate 3 and they are part of Larian Studios UK. This does not appear to at all be like when they were merely doing contract work for Larian. They (including James) work for Larian). If you look up Larian Studios UK you can see that James is listed as a director for them.
Looks like they are ramping back up at Wonderstruck. They are working remotely, there is still hope for the game.
Check the job descriptions … you too can help them ignore Boundless and work on Baldur’s Gate 3!
Anyways enough with going off-topic… still glad to see you back the game is still fun ![]()
I kind of wonder if the new IP Agency Zero (listed on the Wonderstruck site) is still a go? Minyi tweeted some concept art in the last few months that looked like it could be for it… if it is, and Turbulenz/Wonderstruck does still appear to exist separately from Larian even if some of them are working for both and most just Larian now, could be that is their new passion project and taking up non-BG3 time. I really do wish them well and hope their other ventures meet with huge success, they deserve it and I’m so grateful for Boundless, but just sad for those of us still so in love with it if they’ve moved on and it is just maintenance mode from here out. BUT, also totally understand, in the end business is business.
@SirGreenDay If Need anything let me know too 3,5 years playing Here and Like the Others before enough experience to Help with everything
