How did you guys hear about Boundless?

I discovered it in a pretty strange way. I was searching for an online benchmark and OORTONLINE.GL showed up. I clicked it and liked the beauty of the game in the benchmark so I searched for it, read about what the Devs wanted to do, and bought it!

I found it by a post on the Minecraft subreddit that was actually mocking it. It basically said that Boundless (Oort Online then) was just minecraft with shaders & noblocks mod. It looked interesting, so I investigated. Now we’re here :smile:

I was looking for videos on youtube about No Mans Sky and games similar in nature. I saw a video labeled something like “Top 20 Upcoming Open World Games for 2016” and this one was on the list.

I use quite a lot of time on the discourse for the games Stonehearth and one of the community managers brings up good kickstarter and other kinds of backed games when he runs into something he finds interesting.

I saw it on the Paris game show stream and was thinking about buying a PS4 so I could play it… only to find out it was already available on PC in early access. I didn’t need to think twice about getting it there and then :wink:

I have been around so long, I don’t even remember where I learned about this game. I do remember I was one of the earliest backers, back when there was maybe a dozen of us. My, how the community has grown!
