How much would it cost...?

Would I move? Unlikely… BUT hey let us be honest everyone has a price even if we do not sometimes admit it… suffice to say it be more coin than most could pool as a guild together  and THAT would be if I could take my coils and such from my wokshop with me and leave the rest…

I am VERY happily entrenched on Biitula!

I’m looking at moving and it’s depressing me, but I’ve become very unhappy where I’m at.

I recently acquired some plots and have been pushing forward on replacing local roads and building a new, larger storage and retail area but I got plotted in tight as soon as the buffers came back down so i can no longer consider the new workshop i was trying to design and I’ll be completely surrounded by builders in the air above my base again.

I had originally intended to play for a while and find a home on a higher tier world but I got complacent here and over time my build became very comfortable for me. I also found that I like being in a position to help and encourage new players that I run into.

Sorry to ramble but there’s no amount of coin that would convince me to move if I wasn’t already having issues. And with having issues no coin is necessary. I’m looking for a spot that inspires me to build something besides big boxes again.

I have no plans on moving from Sochaltin even if I was offered an astronomical amount of coin. My build is a long term project that grows and changes all the time, I sort of see it like a bonsai tree in that it will just keep improving with time. I’m forever modifying it, add stuff, trying to add detail to make it interesting … plus I have good neighbour’s and there are a lot of very artistic/creative people around me that help provide inspiration.

The community, especially if they are open to have a bit of role play and participate in the game lore by creating a thematic city.

Slave Labor.

No amount of coin or items would get me to move.

These are the only scenarios I would move or have moved:
A large new lush planet
A rental planet
Needing/wanting more room

Moving isn’t terrible if you set up a portal directly from your old storage room to your new one, takes a few days, a week at most.

Yes true enough. It’s not the actual moving that’s daunting me, it’s settling on a spot and then designing/building the new place.

I’m not sure what @Vansten is thinking about but it’s very unlikely that I would move my main base into another existing settlement at this stage of the game.

I have been wondering if I could sell my existing base to someone. However being that it’s almost 100% surrounded again and with the buffer system in place I’m not sure it would be possible to actually replot it.

Yeah, with buffers a thing now (a good idea, I think, as it was my idea haha) there needs to be a way to transfer a beacon between people.

Move to Houchus or to Norkyana or even Altinans. I like all of the t1 planets too but they’re so populated it seems like sometimes it’s impossible to build wide open without running in to at least 1 persons build. That gets tiresome real quick when they think you’re trying to take them over but the reality is you’re just plotting what you’re likely to need because if you don’t, someone else will and then you’ll be the one upset that your build has been limited.

Nice run on sentence, I know.

I was thinking about making a push for warden in my city but someone just attached 20m prestige somewhere so I have no idea who/where my new warden is and I’m definitely too blocked in to compete even if I wanted to at that level.

Sorry to have wandered off topic here. The post just definitely related to this situation that I’m thinking heavily about ATM.

Thank you everyone for your responses! I figure it would pretty much be something like this, whereby those who would move are likely to do so for the environment and community (or rental worlds) as opposed to coin.

Cheers

Just wouldn’t do it…if a settlement was built like this. It would end up being like some city’s that a cluttered and messy and all over the place we already got these no point building more

To move? I wouldn’t move per say but simply build another base. My goal is to eventually have a base/crafting area in every build I do so that Iwouldn’t be centralized. An active community whether or not at the same time zone as me would keep me happy. So all it would take was having available plots on one of my three mains.

I think I’m too embedded… but my base is in Kindred Bay on Sorissi with the HSE crew… so I kinda already did that. :star_struck:

It’s been really fun to kind of cross over and blend with another group. There is kind of a Kindred relationship between iLLn and HSE.

Community partners is definitely a thing in this game and I’m proud to have several.:+1:

100c for every regular placed block, 150c for glass, 300 for brick, 600 for marble, 1k for coils, so to echo the gif. Over 1 billion dollars

@Nightstar its good to get a fresh start, I would not recommend the higher tier planets (t6 in particular). I have got a feeling that the ping is worse than on the lower tiers. It is great to have a lot of space to build ofc but you will also be a hermit, what good is the prettiest of builds if no one ever sees it? ^^
My old base is on a t6, they all have difficult terrain and most have some caveat like constant snow (my base), terrible hue (Besevrona for example) and you will L O V E the ultra elite killertrunks when you build outside on a t6 ;3

The situation is bleak on the lower tiers, there is almost no area with a good amount of space left.
Best of luck to you and go for it if it feels right! Every time I moved my base I was able to improve on my buildings.

Oh and a a tip to ease the load, do not take every single block, take the good ones leave the rest and wander around before you decide were to settle, it’s fun^_^

  • In coins?
  • Yes.
  • Too much for you.
  • But I have 10 milli-
  • NOT EVEN REMOTELY ENOUGH.

Otherwise, same thing as the wipe thread : a blueprint feature to copy-paste my build to a new settlement.

BUT if the question is “move to a brand new settlement while leaving the previous one where it is and try to deal with two settlements at once”… I mean… as long as it gets visitors, and it looks pretty, with nice neighbors… bonus if there’s a way to get help opening a portal from the old settlement to the new one…
Then maybe…

how about 100 mill

Nah but seriously i think this is the general consensus. At this point everyone pretty much has their established builds, and aside from a few, most probably wouldn’t move unless the new settlement itself either has a friendly community and/or amazing architecture

(or unless their current settlement dies or rentable planets come out)
