How to make money?

Coin Converters at New Leyden Market has quite a few request baskets. So do other shops!

You can also try the new Request Dimension where there are only request baskets!

How do you ‘scan’?

As a shopowner do we have to enter a lot of info manually?
Created an account but am not logged in to the game so can’t enter the coordinates just yet, will do that later after dinner.

Busy mall? Gyosha
Busy market? New Leyden Market! Portals at Ultima HQ red shop floor, PS Lamblis inner ring SE corner, Crypt Hub and in many more places!

A lot of the basic foraging stuff always seems to have request baskets with coin: beans, leaves, and such.

But by far my favorite is just selling mining products cheap. If you don’t have your own store, can usually unload in Ultima somewhere. Check the ore baskets often, there are some that get both filled up and refilled pretty regularly. I sell in my own store though, I just undersell the others I see and they move fast. I take New Leyden’s cheap 3X3 titanium hammers to a lv 5 world, go nuts, and sell what I get. I’m making a good profit off the products of each hammer. But then, I like mindless grinding while listening to music, some people wouldn’t enjoy this method.

On malls being busy or quiet depends on time of the day and week. Holidays can make it busy or quiet also.
Many of the shops in the mall have request baskets and you can look and see what is wanted and collect those. Also, the New Leyden Market is a good place to go to sell items there are two shops that have request baskets and give fair prices.
If you like to mine, you can on level 1 and level 2 planets mine for rock and also get copper that you can smelt into bars and trade for items you need. Go to the trading category and post what you have to trade or ask what is needed to be traded for.

You will get some iron from mining but not much but I have traded copper bars for iron, titanium, sliver, refined gems, sliver tools and weapons and also traded some food for gems.
Spicy beans seems to be something that is demand, you can gather that from plants, and the inky leaves from the rosetta nox plant can be made into ink, and that would probably sell.
Depending on your level, your protection level in environment, the weapons you have you can join in hunts, but if you aren’t good at fighting the critters and don’t have a good grapple it could be rough for you. The group can get in a hurry and forget about the slower players, who get left behind. The good thing is, you can click to return to sanctum and then go to the warp conduits on the right side, click on number 1 and then pick to go to your home beacon. It won’t cost you anything. Used to cost to do that. Devs listened and made it so we can now go home free.
At least level 15, have a grapple, protection for the planets and you can join the hunts and get some good loot. You don’t have to jump into the battle, just stand back and help with cleanup, just don’t get killed

^^^ this

I was broke as #### at about level 20 - 25. Started doing tons of meteors and got up to over $100,000 in no time.

Yea i make about 23k+ selling about 150 oorstones to ultima. Its an extremely lucrative way of making coin. Personally, i dont mind having players that aren’t fully equiped on higher tier hunts and i’m sure most wouldn’t mind having you join their hunts as well. Just make sure you have the adequate protection.

After I entered the coords it immediately showed me the items I am selling, at least, it works for 2 of my 4 shops, the other 2 are not being recognised.

What does this client application do? And how are we expected to run it? Does it work under OSX? or Windows only? or is it a commandline utility? or a website? and if it needs to run on a desktop system and works on OSX is it graphics heavy?

(the last one because my current computer can’t handle hardware accelleration since I had to turn it off due to crashing every 5 minutes)

I have to put a little fan next to the hard drive on my laptop so mine doesn’t melt down. Another reason I usually keep my mic off lol

I’ll be sharing full details next week. Rather not repeat myself sorry ;(

Okay, fair enough.

But, right now it’s severely incomplete, we do not know how you get the information AND worst of all not ALL shops are in there or can be added at this point in time creating a severe UNFAIR advantage to the shops that ARE in there.

Would you consider denying public access until you can add any and all shops in order to prevent this?

Becaue if I now were a seller of some item I would check this website and find the baskets with the highest prices but the shop owners who aren’t listed AND have no control over being so will be ignored…

This is NOT a good thing. Still wondering if it is in general WHEN all shops are in there but that is something entirely different but when only a percentage of shops are represented without us having any control over it is certainly not a good thing…

Check out the iLLumiNaughty Footfall Co-op! I have a handful of spots left. It’s a cross between a mall and a farm.

It’s free to be a part of! Check it out and if you’re interested, I will be on later and can get you set up.

You can get there via PS Biitula shopping Hub, iLlumiNaughty on Trior in the Ultima US East, and The Witches Brew (portals everywhere!)

Um, this site is not featured or well known at this point. I’m guessing only like 30-50 people have even seen he has it running (at most). calm down, he is currently the only one with the client, and from what I can tell the generated data only lasts for 3 days unless its updated. It WILL be a good thing once he has the bugs worked out and can get it released, once its released (if I am understanding correctly) people will “scan” shops they encounter and they will be added to the website (this is similar to how wowhead gets live info for world of warcraft).

edit: It needs to be “public” in order to test it more thoroughly and find all sorts of potential bugs. I believe him when he says it should be available in the next few weeks, he obviously has something working at this point.

Yes, it’s working nicely and some of my shops are in there but sadly the one with the request baskets is not and ever since the links to the site have been posted I have seen a huge decline in people selling to me and no it’s not because my prices are too low. Could be coincidence true, did make me think tho…

It was already said that it scans your network traffic, so any shop stand your game sees, the client sees. They probably just didn’t visit all of the shop hubs while testing the tool so not everything is visible because of that.

Well I’ve noticed they did look at the first row at the New Leyden Market, but not the second row

I do hope people with Macs can run it and that it doesn’t have a too fancy GUI so my crappy Mac can too

Also would love to separate out items that don’t belong to your own shop but to another next to it, etc., etc.

Developing a tool like this cross platform is probably a long shot, but you never know :woman_shrugging:

Depends on the developer and what you’re comfortable with. I always liked to use cross platform toolkits like Qt to ensure it could work on multiple platforms…

This is getting off-topic, but I don’t think toolkits would support such low level access a tool like this requires, like the MITM proxy.
