How/Where do you farm Amethyst/Emerald?

I tried Shedu Tier but I found mostly lava… What’s the goto planet for Amethyst/Emerald?

Amethyst and emeralds you will most likely find lava. Nokly is best but finding a decent spot can be frustrating. Shedu is also good but much the same. Bes seems to have less lava but also less gems. Just from my experience.

I find that by the time I’ve died a few times from lava and actually found any gems I would have been better off going to Bes and just farming non stop despite the reduced spawn rates.

I’ve used the Oortian Syndicate’s public emerald mines before. You can always use a chisel with the change boon to turn them to amethyst.

The mines are on Shedu and I don’t worry too much about the lava. You can see it glowing thru the rocks and it spreads really slowly so it’s not so much dangerous as it is a fun little mini game. Emeralds are probably the most fun thing to mine in my book. Makes me wish sand and/or gravel produced cave ins like it does in other digging games, so a lighter version of the lava risk could have been present in other gem mining.

Try to find strips of emerald close to mountainsides, then dig down to about two blocks from mantle. I have the best luck finding lava free zones where the emerald meets the amethyst.
