Buffed if you are a dps’er!! ;D
I honestly don’t see the issue with people doing nothing on hunts, there’s always enough people there to get the hunt completed, so so what if there are people not doing anything.
Some people have bad connection issues where they can’t do anything (me some days
) Some bring Alt Characters, Some people just like socializing on hunts. In the end the more people there benefits the hunt, so it shouldn’t be an issue.
Anyone that doesnt do anything on hunt, maybe you’re low level and can’t do a lot of damage, or any of the above I listed… don’t let this post dishearten you

Nope not a dps. I’m a tank and healer and still managed 3 levels on the last hunt I went on.
This ![]()
When I first started hunting I could only survive by grappling out of the way for most of the hunt so I didn’t waste everyone’s revives as I did negligible damage.
People encouraged me to come along still and now I feel I contribute (if only slightly) ![]()
So yeah hopefully this won’t discourage the noobs from joining us!
So, using fists is noob?
Thank you
On Topic: I know why i never go on mass hunts.
I was <level 20 when @cagian dragged me on a hunt. Only been on the game a couple days. So intimated, hadn’t done much meteors now 52749 enemies are flying at me
If that person wasn’t there as apposed to them not doing anything, what difference does it make?
Doing nothing beats regen bombing ![]()
I like to go on hunts. I’m not a tank or a DPSer, I just have a s Slingbow, a loot stick, and some Reviving Brews. I have done a lot of solo hunts to keep my ravenous mini-hub fed, but it’s a thrill to leap off a platform, race to the site, and act like a maniac shooting at the rare Elite Exotic Elemental creature that hasn’t yet be one-shotted by someone with tats and a biker beard.
Problem is I don’t live in a big squalid human hive in real life, so I don’t have high-end rich-kid fiber to the home. What happens on a hunt is data loss goes through the roof and instead of seeing damage messages I just see unplayable. To an in-game observer I will just appear to stand there. What I see on my screen is the same repeated scene of running or swimming (or falling over and over) to the Meteor. Or the drunken spins. When I’m seeing 30000 ms of latency you’re seeing a target of opportunity to bomb the ground out from under me when I’m standing in water to “dur hur hur teach the freeloader a lesson” and I drown once the Meteor is defeated and my ping times go down. The mobs are rarely my problem, it’s usually the asshat other players. And run-on sentences.
So, give other players a break. They may not have chosen to play the way you play, and they may have a good reason for it. Acceptance and diversity may not be your thing and “plays well with others” not a comment you ever received on your kindergarten report card, but remember you’re the one who has paid to play a cooperative game.
End of rant.
Exactly my point! I have videos of me moonwalking around the meteor and not being able to get it because of “unplayable connection”

The same thing happened to me in the circapous fighters, going to the platforms I was left hanging the game, so I decided not to go to the platforms and spend 100 cubits, joining who believed my friend (he invited me to go telling me , bye) every time a meteor is discovered, since I have very little connection and it hangs on all platforms for so many people, in the end they invited me not to go to their fighters, because if you do not step on their platforms you are not welcome , well since then I only hunt in tier 4 and tier 3, I have little connection, but those who do not have it do not care and they treat you as trolls, because of this, close the portals to meteor meet for your invitation to not go to your fighters
it does not translate well, I meant to close all the portals that I had a meteor meet, because of expelling me from their private hunts
Fist = noob = lmao
Top forged gold fists are nearly as effective as slingbows, and hella cheaper. Also I would suggest anyone to trade their ‘loot stick’ for a forged fist with mag collector, armor, and dura.
On topic, I think it’s strange that everyone and their dog can magically loot the same corpse like Jesus is passing it out or something. It would make more sense to me if the one who makes the kill, or maybe everyone who got a shot off, could loot, but no one else. Same for the meteor. Kill count could determine loot%. This would kick the noobs down to the tier they’re prepared for and the circling veteran vultures would have to step up or find another way to fuel their portals. I’ve actually noticed a growing need for hunt materials to be spread out a bit more. Someone mentioned it on another thread that meteors shouldn’t contain items, like oort and gems; presumably minable stuff, and those things should be in more appropriate places. I completely agree.
So what I think is the problem here is that lazy looting isn’t a player fault, but a design flaw.
Let’s do more to discourage the community to play the game together. Let’s punish the hunts that are getting 45 players and it could not even be possible for everyone to get in a hit on the mobs. Especially given the rubberbanding that happens for a lot of players. Let’s tell players that have bad connections to not even go on group hunts because they are not welcome. Let’s make hunts only for the elite players and make it even harder for players to maintain portals.
Why does anyone even care if players are not actively hitting every mob? Does it impact how much loot you can get? No, but fewer players on the hunt certainly would.
Allowing freeloaders on hunts benefits:
- the hunt at large (bigger meteors/bigger mobs)
- the community spirit (having people along and letting them socialize)
- the economy (allowing more players to get instanced loot, which they can use to trade)
- development (stress testing servers with large numbers of players on a hunt)
- troll reporting (in the event that freeloaders are recording their hunts)
Kicking freeloaders out of hunts benefits:
- people who need to save money on revives
- people who are upset seeing others get free stuff
Amen Citizen. This game has way too many players. Let’s actively discourage more of them so the one that’s left can play the way they want. Like the single-player game it should be.
I really think that if you do not want to play with other people, you can do it, we all do it from time to time, but this game sold multiplayer, if you bought it, you already knew there would be more people, complain about it now once playing, I think which is ridiculous, but you are free to give your opinion even if it has nothing to do with the game
With the mob health being as laggy as it is I would hate this. Now you’re not punished for not hitting stuff before it dies, I wouldn’t hunt if it was a competition, gleambow was already competitive enough
Cooperation all the way for me.
Or well, I’d hunt but only as a chore.
Fists are fine for lower tier planets, but they will really struggle to out dps gem forged slingbows on elemental worlds (especially when they get an elemental damage bonus).
I never once said its a bad idea to use them or that there nooby, but they do offer less dps than maxed out slingbows against elementals.
I once stood far away and loot when all gone. Not part of anything and still getting somthing. was fastest 70 oort in my life lol
Exactly. You have to remember, most people are not critical thinkers like you. I have connection issues most of the time in hunts. I also try build the towers as much as I can. I am probably one of the people the few are talking about. I sometimes use reviver brews. Yet here they are, seasoned hunters that have played for months now applying revive after revive. How many freaking times do I have to tell them you can see if a revive has been applied by paying attention to detail. Also, if you don’t want to revive people then don’t. There are many people who I know who are OP hunters. Those are the ones you can revive. People get a emotional reaction based on hate, frustration and jealousy to name a few and then what happens is most critical thought faculties shut down. A half witted forum post is made and then they look pretty stupid when 15 other reasons why people play the way they hate and don’t conform to how
It “ should” be. My kids play the ******** game. My friend kids loves the hunts , he is autistic. Sometimes I need oort bad but am working around the house and have no time. So it’s do that or another Day one player leaves the damn game from burn out. My gf kids play the game. This is probably some they see not knowing what to do or running around becuase it’s fun to them. Oort is highly valuable is they haven’t noticed… some people don’t like hunting like me. Do I have a choice to get the ■■■■ another way? Oh yes sure I do, buy it with the thousands I don’t have. So to combat that issue instead of loot hunting I can just quit for sure. It’s frustrating. I love portals. One of the coolest things about this game. I love to build and make networks. I can’t do everything and have a real life. I would need a popular shop to earn coin, I would need mats to stock in the shop, I need a whole lot of time just to buy a small amount of oort to attempt , (which I have tried many times) fuel 5 percent of my portals. Also that I listed some kids and mental disabilities I know 2 people, and I don’t want say there names because one is pretty popular who has issues with their hands. So little movement is all they can do. Be assured most of you would be upset if the portal went down… just another reason I know of.
