Creat a beacon within the all 50 region markers of every planet then sell those location tokens or wright down coords for all 50 locations and post it somewhere

Well didn’t realize you made a post for just this. But there’s already one for galan and it doesn’t get used. Was set up by omniuno and some guild members of Order of Oortian. I believe the original idea was if it had popularity on galan we were going to start doing the other planets as well but it didn’t have any popularity

I think the problem is not enough people new about it. Well if I had the coords then. It would cost me 5000 coins to map a whole planet

I think the owner has to set up portals and try to recoup with footfall. It costs 90 rough oortstone per day so you’d need quite a lot of footfall and to have reached 10k prestige 50 times. It’s hard work for a temporary build which is why I liked the idea of combining it with the region marker project since the markers provide constant value.
Or maybe the portal cost is low to a portal network who already has a solid oortstone supply chain set up. In that case instead of having player portals the portal hub could have one portal to each region and players use the closest portal in their home region (and possibly ppl start plotting land around the markers).
The people building the shop sniffer might also be interested in this project. 50 portals around a hub each listing their region name and coordinates would make using their website easier when all you have to go on is coordinates.
I personally wouldn’t pay 5k in warp costs, that’s like a week of footfall income for me. That also presumes the tokens are sold by the store for 0c. Having tried to set up 0c stands to help ppl out in the past, there is always gonna be that one jerk player who empties it
if you go to https://boundless-maps.com and pick a planet, you can select “show regions” top right to see where all the regions are. You can hover your mouse anywhere to see the coordinates on the bottom of the screen.

Combine this with the tracking client and you have a live marker showing your location, really easy to map planets with that open on another screen.

I was going to do this on the early access planets.
it requires a pretty insane amount of oortstone so having donations is going to be necessary… that’s 90 oortstone per day per planet.
I was going to have every region plotted for several planets and put connections to those circuits at my “shop” locations, first one was in Munteen Paradise… and when I had enough shards to open a circuit I would keep it open for as long as I could then when that ran out I would open another circuit or save up and open one when I had enough shards again. with enough donations I would have been able to keep more open at a time and/or persistently.
There’s a few reasons why I never finished this project, one was because we didn’t have atlases (they were implemented while I was working on this and kinda rendered the effort mostly useless other than a time-saver) also I had realised just. how. MUCH. oortstone it was going to cost, I realized it was going to take my whole reserve to fuel all the portals for like a month. that reserve was from the crazy times where we would come back with over a full smart stack (891) of just oortstone, sometimes 2 from a single hunt. And then of course the world wipe announcement made me switch gears and work only on finishing my base.

Hahaha yea that would be expensive if we had open portals to all the regions but if you made location tokens then no oortstone would be required
Just for one planet it’s 1200 oort shards a dayif we had open portals.
well ya, plus it takes more effort. but you could do that as well as have portals open when you have the supply.
with a group this is totally doable. as a solo player, absolutely not!

yep token stores exist. and they just increased the locations limit (somewhat recently… to something like 256? maybe 150?)
thats why portals are a nice and easy option for the user. tokens would be temporary then you’d have to delete them all to do the next planet…
im just trying to think of the use case here… Someone would grab all the location markers in some order and set destination 1 by one?
Can’t you just grab an unrevealed atlas, go to a covered region then follow the words at the top of the screen?

didn’t they disable meteor triggers from warped to regions?
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t happen with portals…
I might have that backwards…

Could ask the Devs to make all the meteorites fall in one place then hunts could just stand still
