Why is it lava burns certain blocks, yet ice doesn’t freeze water blocks?
Not expecting a real answer, just came to me and thought…hmmm

Same reason why you get lakes frozen on the surface, but still a liquid below it?
If you put an ice cube in a glass of water. Does it freeze? Lol.
