If a shop stand contains a smart stack of different things (eyes of different animals in this example) you can’t open the smart stack nor can you buy anything. E.g. here:

Yeah this is super annoying - especially when your inventory is full and you can’t manipulate it to extract the items you want without dropping something.
That’s not my shop stand. I was a customer and my inventory had free space. I wanted to buy something but the smart stack doesn’t react to neither the left not the right mouse button. I cannot unstack it in any way (as a customer).
I have noticed this issue too, when trying to buy from stacked items, sometimes.
This has been the case since forever, as far as I can remember anyways
Doesn’t make this post any less valid, it would be nice if it could be fixed lol

Well, you can actually buy from a smartstack but only if all the items inside the smart stack have a price listed. If one has not you can not open the smart stack…
Has nothing to do with inventory space (tho that is a seperate issue too), this here happens when the shop owner puts a stack of say, 2 different creature eyes in the shop stand for sale in a smartstack but only 1 of the 2 has a price attached…
You just can’t open it in that case no matter how empty your inventory is1
