If i get a ps4 will i have to pay to play online? (on boundless)

I paid my share of subscription fees for MMO’s

The problem is that in back in the days, for almost any multiplayer game (not MMO’s with persistent worlds) you could host a server and play with friends, not paying a cent for that pleasure to Sony, Microsoft nor game publishers. Now you rarely can host your server, but still paying additional money for playing online is not something you have to do (there is a problem of rentable servers for most games, and how big money grab it is… but still not the point). PC players are not the bunch you could sell paying extra for multiplayer that easily. When it comes to consoles… Microsoft said one day: “Wanna multi? Pay extra!”, and they paid… Then Sony saw that it work’s and did same thing. And that pay extra for simplest multiplayer is one of main reasons I’d never buy console for myself, anyway, If I wan’t to play from a couch before TV downstairs, I can stream it from PC…

And now @Alcaminhante don’t like being ripped off for paying extra… (don’t you find it strange that PS players have to pay extra for playing Boundless online, and PC players don’t?) … And then comes You, a fellow player, one would think, a fellow man, not one of those Suits that are on the other side of the multiplayer-paywall, and you say: “Hola, my good man, it’s 2018 you should pay, that’s just a way it is, you silly man or what?” And I can’t comprehend what happened… are we, players really so brainwashed to follow the schemes of those on the other side, that see us only as masses not paying enough no matter how much we pay?

You cant put words in my mouth though.

I never once said that I agree with PS+ pricing, nor did I say that paying to play multiplayer is a good thing or something someone SHOULD have to do.

But, at the same time, to not expect it at this point… when both M$ and $ony have been doing it for years, to me, is a tad silly.

Yes, pricing should be the same on PC and console. You do realize though there’s games you pay $60 for on console that you pay $40 or $50 on PC (with far better graphics, game options and controllability)? How’s that fair?

Then again, life’s not fair. :stuck_out_tongue:

I do, that’s a second reason why I said no to consoles :joy: Third is awkwardness of controllers :stuck_out_tongue: But the list is long.

I know, it was a hyperbole.

Expecting and being OK with with the most probable outcome are two different things. If I would go drafted to go to war, I would expect I die, so I would fight anyway I could to get myself out of given situation. And If I was told I’d be a clerk in some office in the army, If I had it written, If it was visible to anyone that visit’s playstation store… And then sent to front, I would scream from bottom of my lungs how unfair it is, and I would demand justice

The PS+ being required and whining about it stuff to me is nonsense.

As for being misled on the PS Store (I get that point), shouldn’t that be something they rage against Sony about?
