Introducing the Grump Museum (WIP)!

Or, to give it it’s full title, the snappily-named Grump Museum of Boundless Natural History.

What on Beckon is that, I hear you ask?

Well, it’s a monument to the various colour palettes on offer from our ever-growing collection of planets - or at least, it will be. Currently I’ve planned out and plotted a nice big area, and built about half of the ground floor.

I’ve also completed a proof of concept inside one of the four halls, containing samples of each natural or engineered natural block from each world (eg, soils, rocks, woods, etc… the things that can change between planets). Here’s a glimpse into the first, featuring Beckon, Sochaltin I, Storis II and Lasaina.

Why do this, now I hear you ask?

Just to create a collection for posterity. But, also - if you’re struggling to figure out a colour scheme for your build, the Grump Museum will be worth a browse, to look through all the options and create a list of places to visit for some gathering!

The planets will be laid out according to level, with the ground floor (and basement floors perhaps) being level 1, the first floor up being level two, and so on through to the maximum level.

There’s still a lot of work to do, so don’t expect me to be keeping up with new worlds as they’re released! I may ask for volunteer curators to help me with sourcing the block samples for worlds in the future, in return for which you’ll be immortalised in a sign next to your curated world… but more on that later. I’ve got to finish building it first!

As always, comments, feedback and suggestions welcome. If you’d like to visit, you can get to it via the Grump Store portal (found in Aquatopia Beckon portal hub or Portal Seekers Biitula hub) - just turn right after you get through the portal and follow the path over the bridge. The first completed hall is inside, and first left.

Enjoy!
