So for some context about me I found out about boundless many years ago when it was still in alpha before it came out on PlayStation I was eagerly awaiting its arrival on console and when it came on i bought it and spent hundreds of hours and more money than I would like to admit buying plots to make a massive area… this was when there was a big and strong community and regular updates and game development I like many was sad and very disheartened when things shifted to the new company and new team as it seem the game died not in terms of the community as I know there is still a loyal community but just in terms of updates and game development, i saw in my email today a few threads about maintenance and things so I am curious is the game now being worked on again if so YES FINALLY and If yes I cannot wait to return again. but yh Id like an update if anyone is willing to inform me? I know there was some talk of making the game public so the community could work on it and develop it but yh any update from anyone in the know or who is still an active part of the community that would be great I would love so much to be able to return to this amazing game It was for a long time one of my fav games.
Firstly, full-stops really help when reading long posts! 
The game is still owned by Monumental and is still in maintenance mode i.e. not being actively developed.
It’s being maintained e.g. server maintenance, events, etc.
Eric-Jon, a Dev with Monumental has been more active on the forum recently and has even been tinkering with things to try and improve server efficiency.
If you love the game then there’s no reason not to come back and play.

It is not having new development, as they are working on another game they have. But as Cagian stated Jon-Eric is seeing what he can do to improve things in the game. Playing with small things in the game to try to give us some improvements etc. He is also working with players that are trying to create some things to replace some stuff we have lost that were available on several fan pages. Like I said before I approve as this says hey until we can maybe develop something new for the game we can improve QOL.
It is under new management since Wonderstruck took over if that is what you were wondering.
Aside from the “maintaining of servers” the servers were also upgraded to new hardware along with a lot of maintenance updates to try and get the server to be more manageable.
I do know there have been efforts behind the scenes and I feel those efforts will even lead to some content updates. I do think some QoL life updates that I would consider low hanging could come to fruition quite soon, but we shall see.
