Is not dropping blocks without finalization of a planet too good for Bots?

I have been thinking about how people may cheat in the game if it ever gets popular, and it seems to me it would be allot easier to setup a bot mining or collecting orbs if you don’t have to deal with the block drops. It wouldn’t take much to easily get an inventory full or orbs to sell, and seems maybe OP for botting.

Thinking about it a little further I realise you could just fill your inventory with single orbs and it would have the same effect. So maybe makes no difference.

Some games allow you to control which drops to collect/ignore. Since we don’t have that feature in Boundless, it’s kinda nice being able to go to a planet that hasn’t been finalized & not having to worry about your inventory filling up with rocks and dirt. We can just toss them out as we go, so I don’t see it as OP to omit this step.

Alternatively, you could place a single orb in every free inventory slot to prevent collecting drops you don’t want.

I use this method when I go on hunts so I don’t accidentally collect discarded stacks of foliage and dirt. I fill my inventory with one eye, one metal ore, one oortstone, one trophy, etc.

I hoard everything. I never drop blocks of dirt or foliage or anything. It’s my weakness, I want EVERYTHING in every color.
