So I was messing with my goo farm and I came across something I cant explain. Here I have examples of two identically setup goo farms on gleam. However, one crop produces significantly better crop vs seed results, while the seed results were the same on both of them if that makes sense. I included two screenshots so you can see what I’m talking about. They are both surrounded with lava from above and setup identically with four growth on each side.
They aren’t identical tho. The stone vs brick will make a change
Is that mentioned anywhere though in the popup? Was that intentional? My understanding is that you can not get higher than 95% seed.
Yes the knowledge tab says rock increases yield it does not mention brick. Also gleam, gleam lantern, refined gleam and sponge. I have never seen or heard of anyone getting more than 95% seed yield.
Not sure. But both are 85% seed yield. So not sure why you bring that part up. Your crop yield is the one I thought you were asking about
It says that it increases crop in, not near rock. Thats actually nice if it does that. However I get less crop with rock versus brick so dont know what thats about
fair enough I had the test knowledge up sorry
Yes you’re right my head was somewhere else The crop part was the one I’m wondering about.
If you put it in rock the seed will go up but color changing is very unlikely to happen. Tho it can still happen. Just a really tiny chance.
Iirc that is. I don’t farm so I’m just going off my knowledge of various tid bits I’ve read.
Yeah I know I did this on purpose as I’m trying to get that night azure pigment
Nevermind I figured it out. I had some water falling down and it turned my bricks to igneous rock and deleted the lava and the chisel, which in turn reduced crop rate.
is this your set up ? you can get up to 350% on sponge normally.
Yea when there’s a chisel spot filled with a liquid that solidifies it breaks the block and leaves it floating to be picked up and the liquid turns into its solid form.
I just tossed it on there last night to try a few things. Yeah, it’s not green. I’ll get it there
but atm the best case scenario for pigment is on rock since you can get something like 220/80. you will get more overtime than a 350/10.
