You could craft the Teaching Loafs, but not the (+100% xp) Teaching Pies.
They require Food Crafting level 5.
Have you considered making an alt toon? I just made one last night and was easily able to add them to my beacon. The only hard part was trekking across the planet to get there since the person I play with was not online at the time for me to warp to them. The cost was 600 cubits and seems to be a highly recommended thing to do. I plan to keep this alt at the base for crafting and some minimal gathering purposes. Doing this will allow me to place points in my main toon for hunting/gathering. Good luck!

Yeah this came up in voice chat last night. Joe blow crafter can go all the way to gem items . You don’t have to decide until it reaches Blink, and Dark Matter.
