You say people should be nice and then you go act like that? That post was rude and toxic. It is disgusting that you drop into this thread and just ■■■■ on it because you are “cranky.” Everything you’ve said is inaccurate and been fully clarified by me or Boundmore. We tried to be friendly and get you and others to understand and instead of being an adult you just attack over and over. I’ve reported it.

People buy low and sell high all the time. You are literally stating a game mechanic and using it to talk down and make excuses about my idea. It’s crazy in a game with infinite resources and the ability to get anything you need that so many are so focused on “their shop, profit, and prestige” instead of just trying to help new people, be fair across the shop landscape of the game, and stabilize some pricing on the market. I was clear the goal of the guild was to HELP things and not MAKE MASSIVE PROFIT. You can’t stop people that want to prey on others around pricing so you don’t focus on it - you focus on your customer.

Everyone here just complains about a few bad words in my post when I see EVERYWHERE people being toxic and rude and doing other junk against each other in plenty of posts. I’ve clarified my points and been very clear about the context and goals of the guild and I am amazed days later people in general still can’t see past their biases, hate, or whatever it is. The effort to try to get the community to gather together under a guild (because that is the easiest way in the GAME to do it) so it is visible to players on who wants to do that and who doesn’t clearly is too hard for people to comprehend.

Now I can see why the few that did reach out about this are too scared to join because of the hate and criticism that this whole community has towards people that are trying to help shops and customers. It is pretty amazing people don’t care about others and profit reigns.

You don’t need tools to promote your values and beliefs in helping players with prices and a more stable shop environment that helps customers. Abuse will happen always and it is short sighted to use that as an excuse to not actually just move forward on the core beliefs and values. That is more important and clearly needed. But, we might have lost too many core players that would have jumped on this idea. People that were trying to help others without only saying “me” first.

I get it at some level - people focus on themselves and tie a lot of their identity up into their character, guild, shop, prestige, and all these other things. They put themselves first because everywhere we look the real world just takes from you, your family, and those you care for. We have a hard world that isn’t certainly getting better. Maybe it’s my age, but there is more to life than that and we didn’t need to create the same environment here in this game.

I hope you aren’t taking any of my posts as hateful or against you. I have mentioned to many others and several times in this post about how I know you mean well and your heart is in the right place. I even think it’s a good idea, but just not one I want to be a part of. Nothing against you, the idea or the guild. While I don’t always see eye-to-eye with you or fully agree with you, I do have the utmost respect for you.

I agree with almost all of your points. However, I think you have this community all wrong if you think it’s greedy, as they do care about others and many of them could care less about profits if it would help the community and/or new players. I know I give away a lot of things including smart stacks or Oort, forged goods, you name it if someone I know needs it and I have it, it’s theirs. If you don’t see this in game now, you aren’t very in tune with the current community.

There were a few players that drove up the prices across the board on the majority of the items most people sought after and when you combine those prices with a VERY decreased player base it’s an economy killer.

While resources are “technically” infinite, the amount needed to craft anything in any large amount takes a very long time gather and with such a small community most things gathered are usually used by the person gathering it. I used to have a couple of friends that just enjoyed mining and gathering and left me to do the building so I always had resources I could use. Now with the smaller community we have that’s no longer the case.

Anyways, totally no hate here, and I hope others have none towards you or your idea either. I do think that if you propose an idea, you should expect some criticism it happens. :boundless:

Apparently I’m not the only cranky one? Excuse me all to where ever for expressing my opinion ONCE - I did not post over and over attacking anyone. My post was my OPINION of an idea, not a person and not an attack. I also did not say people should be nice, I said you guys are all saying how nice everyone is so back up that believe with action instead of coercion. Now if you’ll excuse me, winter’s coming and I need to go unpack my snow boots and cry in my coffee grounds.

You posted many times and were basically critical in all of them. Your last one just focused again on negative things that had no relevance and were addressed.

I backed up my actions as did Boundmore. We both actually took the time to get the guild going and talk with those interested and set up shops. We are proving through our actions and massive amounts of attacks by countless people about an idea that was just trying to help. You were welcome to your opinion and could have left it at that but instead decided to come back and just attack us again with rehashed opinions. I really don’t understand the need for it and honestly wasn’t going to just sit there at take it again.

I wasn’t taking your posts as that because it was limited in scope really. I expected criticism but I think many took it way overboard. Few actually took the time to see it and try to join and improve it or use the suggestion as a way to improve the overall shop experience for everyone. It seems most see it as a threat or just prefer to focus on themselves.

Yup, I’m a bit sad that so many only focused on themselves but can understand. Hopefully, others will overcome their concern since there was so much “criticism” and negative comments towards a simple idea to help people. If they are still too worried, then I fully understand that.

Thanks for the well wishes, we won’t be going anywhere and will expand as we can…

After reading this I rechecked my posts to see if I did indeed post more than I remembered and found that I did indeed post 1 (ONE) other post. and it was simply 2 sentences in response to a post Collussus had made -

My apologies for misstating that I only posted once and I’ll take my flogging in the public square for that misstep. But again, neither of my 2 posts (not many) were an attack on you, they were merely an opinion.

Appearently not.

There was no us in my post, it was directed at the idea stated in YOUR post and my gut reaction to it, it was not directed at any person and I most definitely never said anything regarding Boundmore. I didn’t even give any reaction to Boundmore quoting me in one of their responses.I saw nothing objectionable in how they quoted me and replied to my statements. I saw it as merely an explanation of their thought behind the idea.
As for my post being critical, there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just an opinion and surely, you must expect to see critical opinions when suggesting such a major change in how things are done that can potentially effect others.
My opinion has not changed to your original post but since expressing my opinion has hurt your feelings I apologize for that. It was not my intention.
