It’s very upsetting that anyone can just build a Bridge and mess up something your trying to build on your own. Just wanted to start a new little town and grow, not be taken over by a capital and a player with tons of plots. Wish there was a way to prevent that.

Are you talking about preventing them from merging with you or preventing them from building next to you?

Have you talked to the other player about it? They may not have realized they connected you or were trying to help you out with increased footfall from being part of a larger settlement.

Just merging, I wanted to have my own little city, be our own community, nots it’s merged with the capital .

The problem with this thing is that eventually run out of space! At some point everything is full and so it comes to a merger sooner or later anyway! You can add your area to your own guild, so it will remain as your city in another city!

I have reached out to them and have yet to hear back, which is why I’m not saying names or places or blaming anyone

Not really looking fir that, I would have merged with G.E.R on Raxxa if I wanted to save my old city. That’s why I decided to move and start over with my own name and all

Well if you ask if anyone here knows the player so you can get ahold of them to talk about some plots it isn’t name and shame if you don’t make it negative.

I hope I do not get it wrong now - But you can start a second guild and name this city like that? So your settlement in the city! It will then only the name of your guild there!

Still, not trying to get foot fall, just trying to be my own warden, I like being the so called Mayor of my builds, wouldn’t you want to be in charge of a village you started? I sure do. It’s like watching something you built grow into something beautiful .

I said multiple times that setting a Guild to make “districts” and to retain part of an identity isn’t what people who wanted to “own” their town wanted, and the response I got from Devs was,

‘This is our vision. We want it to be like real life with towns merging.’

If enough people complain maybe they’ll change it, but they’ve really resisted changing this.

In really life merging takes time, documents, legal action, discussions. This is nothing like real life when it comes to “property”

What are they thinking :triumph:

i know what u are talking about.
i had the same issue, but i will fight for my freedom

Build a space colony and give the developers $20 to put it in orbit. That’s my plan! Now to just convince @james …about 10% finished, I’ll let you know how it goes in 2029.

Edit: thank you @Stretchious for the picture!

I think that having rental planets would help with this.

I see possible cons in that, yes you can have your own world if you pay for it, but I’m pretty sure a good amount of people can do that. So they go rent their own planet… well there will be a quite a few rental planets, dividing up there friends or guilds to their own place, just seems the public planets could be ghost towns afterwards. I enjoy the public play, it gives character, structure. Sure crappy things happen like getting merged , or someone crashes the market with their ridiculous low prices. It’s an experience I truly enjoy with boundless.

There would still be public places. For me a rental planet would become a home/workshop planet, and I would still mine, and buy things from malls/towns/cities outside of my planet. I also imagine rental planets as not being as big as current planets. I also think rentals should behave like a T1 planet.

There are a lot of mmorpgs, where you have your own area. In all those games players still participate in the mmoworld, a lot.

I don’t think that a rental planet would divide up players, and cause problems.

(I also enjoy the mmo aspect)
