Hello there Boundless Community!
I’d like to make a suggestion regarding the physical aspect of grapples. As it stands, the physical nature of the grapple is pretty bland. You grapple to a point and hoist yourself up–which can be fun at faster speeds–(Enter the ruby grapple) but, I’d like to suggest maybe having a more animated and “bouncy” experience. Imagine that the grapple is a bungee cord instead of a rope. It could allow for more experienced players to reach new heights with the correct momentum and angle. Tell me what you guys think about implementing something like that.
I think this is a good idea, But I don’t think its going to be easy to implement. I have noticed it can be used to grab allies, but I would like to see if I can use it to stop mobs running away too.
Try catching roadrunner. It’s fun.
Cuttletrunks are an interesting target too.
I use em to drag around hoppers. Hurt them enough that they curl into a defensive pose, then grapple em and drag them like a pet bomb on a rope. Roll them down cliffs onto unsuspecting pla- I mean wildstock and detonate them for some good laughs!
Indeed. Maybe a certain variant of grapple? Or an enchantment? I feared that maybe the technical side of things may prove difficult.
Lol ya know… I never tried that. Will do.
Some of the grapples will allow you to go higher then where you actually attached the grapple, allowing you to launch yourself over obstacles.
