Great news! Never doubted that Boundless will not* keep entertaining us 
I’m looking forward to see more interactions with the playerbase in many ways! Little by the developer team created events/competitions… help with questions in-game, but also help with problems that occur while playing as well as with other players. I’m glad we can expect from now on an open ear for our matters, and not going without problem solving for months.
I love boundless as it is and updates are no priority for me. I find it more important that we have a solid support service.

A new team will take time for sure. You have a dedicated core of players here (@monty1 ) and some of the most welcoming community in the whole mmo landscape from my experience (in game at least, the forums tend to get more heated at times). It is very brave to share your work email with this… Passionate group of people.
I know it can’t have been easy for you (@james ) to let your project enter another’s hands, i wish you and your family nothing but the best. I do hope you are able to chime in and maybe visit once in awhile at least. I don’t know if i had been in your shoes if i would have been able to do this, and it is something that i can respect for sure.

Thank you for the news, However I remain skeptical about the situation.
For me, trust is something that needs to be earned over time. I need to see what the new owners of the game, will do to the game. They will have to prove to me, with actions, not words, that they indeed have boundless’s best interest in heart, before I change my cynical view point about the situation in general.
The only solid take away I have from this news is, at least boundless is not shutting down or is otherwise dead or abandoned, but anything more then that, I will need to see it for myself for me to believe it.
