How about Transformation Wearables or Morphosis Armor(example names)? That would be a good sub-class in the combat section. I mean, imagine this: a medium level armor gives 40 armor total, 10 armor a piece(if there is 4 pieces and yes i know it depends on the piece of armor that one gives more armor than the other place(gloves.vs.helmet)) and these pieces would give half of the value for each piece IF not together, so it would be 5 armor each piece but it would double the armor if you had all the pieces of the set. im saying armor but it can be for damage, contruction, mobility, etc.
How to get these: You had to craft a sort of special material with an essence(blood or something) with that creature to become it for as long as you have the whole armor set on you. Each transformation has its own benefits, both an ability and statistics(2), i’m going to give examples with real life animals and rating the stats from 1 to 4:
Alpha Wolf: Mobile(2), Damage(2) and Howl(gives 10 damage to you and 5 to allies). Objective: Be in the front line to attack and evade.
Elephant: Health(4), Crowd Control(3) with that being your attacks are slow but stun the enemy for 0.4 seconds and you have the ability to Honk/Sneeze and enemies get confused or feared. Objective: Tank and peel.
Turtle: Health(3), Armor(3) and AA Slow which makes the enemy slow on attacks. Objective: Tank only.
Falcon: Damage(4), Mobility(4) and Sky Dive(which is the why this Morph has 4 ratingin Damage) which the names exaplin itself. Objective: Starting a fight or travelling around with high speed.
Woodpecker(the bird): Utility(3) Mobility(3) and this guy is for construction. moves fast near structures/ground and Pecker to cut wood and build faster.
This armor could be called the Morphisis and its class of players Morphers. No?
The idea of being able to morph into different forms is indeed interesting.
Though if it was possible you would need to expect som non classic animals as the team are making their own creatures instead of just copying real world ones ^.^
I’m pretty sure I get what your saying, and I like it.
But in going to put it in my own words, and you tell me if that’s what you mean.
1.Ypu kill a creature and take its essence, then craft the The essence with some type of armor.
2. The new creature armor you have created give you small perks, like the creature would’ve had.
I think that’s what you mean, and I really like it,the perks could be nerfed a lot,in my opinion;or it could be a super rare loot you find on Titans after you obliterate them into nothing. Then you could essentially have all the perks you want, because the perks don’t outweigh the way you got the armor so it’s balanced.
I like the base idea of animalistic abilities, but I think the morphing is taking it a bit far in a direction that boundless isn’t really about (namely, magic). I’d prefer an approach like wearing animal pelts to gain some of their ability.
Example:
@demondrake and @thornbjorn42gbf I said “im going to give examples with real life animais” I AM aware they are making their own creatures. And i’m glad they are
@g-sage exactly! Thank you. Not necessarely needed as it would start with lower level creatures than higher. It doesnt need to be high level or an end game thing
Ok ok I like that I like it. An idea and i’m giving your image as an example: thinking that he hás a Wolf set, it would the Stats that the armor gave and then you could morph and use the perk while morphed for a few seconds
