That is my alt, had her taking some items to the forge room and couldn’t wait, had her get the slingbow out.
I think I did a pretty good job, but letting the experts tell me.

Very nice, dev damage is always awesome and the extra range makes it basically a sniper lol.
Hoping I can repeat it, just got lucky, know that every one of them won’t turn out like that one.
It can 2 shot Strong Roadrunner. So it’s good for hunting Roadrunner at least. I’d use a range Augment 3 with it too. Grapple the Roadrunner and then keep shooting it.
Not a bad result though!
I do that now with a stout and yesterday with the strong ones. Got several on Shedu Te and one feather. Hung from the inside of a mushroom tree and was shooting and using fist to kill the mighty goats, some were elementals and it took forever!
That is what had me going, I gotta make me some good slingbows and fists. So did, not as happy with the fists, though.
Careful Janna, you’ll be a pro before you know it!
LOL don’t want to get into the competition with any shops, just make for me and a couple friends.
Have you tried the methodology way of forging that’s on the forums? But those are good forges. Better than I ever did starting out
Good job, Janna! Slingbows can be tricky, and a good Titanium one is perfect for this mid tier planets! I would totally use that bow.
I have another fist in, deconstructed it one time, did not want what was on it, now I have hard Hitter 8 (80%) Heavy-Duty 2 (increases durability by 400) and Magnetic 2. Vigor is at 450.
Do I keep trying to get better, set it now or deconstruct it? Want one that is magnetic, hits hard and long. But will take the hard hitter, magnetic and better durability, just not sure if they should be higher, looking for ones that will do good on a level 4 but prefer level 5 and hope for level 6 but with this one not expecting it.
Hitter went up to 9 and magnetic to 3, so set it and go it can be good for level 4 planet and used mainly as a magnet on level 4 and 5 with powerful slingbow.
A very good forge for a beginner indeed. Personally, i add range, busy bee (speed), and flatter projectile to them. Becomes a long range machine gun. I kind of find it a bit harder to make use of far range without the flatter projectile. And if i want damage, i can add an augment or drink a brew.
Edit: Obviously, not all items will end up the way you want but dont be afraid to deconstruct and try again (within reason of course). Especially when you know your preferences, you’ll better know what to compromise and accept and what to deconstruct. Until then, youll end up with a couple of not-so-good items which is ok.
Not sure, have read of how others have forged, watched videos, read the article here on the forum and copied it down and have some of the mats in my centraforge.
What I am doing now is just starting out with either special or longevity, depending on what I am forging, special for the fist in hopes of getting the magnetic, longevity for slingbow, then the other one, then effect. Then do the boons until I get three of them. If I get one I don’t want then I use the mat to delete it, but some just seem to want to be there and keep popping back up. Get the three I want and use Fate 2 and do some more with boons. When the fate runs out, will reuse it.
When I get to where the vigor is at 100 I make the decision to either give it one more try, depending on how high the levels are on the boons or deconstruct it and start over again. One I had to deconstruct it four times, insisted on the auto harvest and it was a hammer, I don’t want that on a hammer, I mine with it, I am already going to be harvesting everything I hit.
So far, that is my method and it has generally given me fairly good stuff.
I don’t know if having 22 coils on it is a factor or not. My alt has all the skills for forging maxed, is at level 44 now and I didn’t start forging until I had him maxed, at level 40 and 15 coils. I don’t know how much of that is a help or doesn’t matter.
Just want to note for those who want to forge, you don’t have to wait as long as I did, I’m just to much OCD in that aspect. I have to be at a certain point before I start of something and I prefer to take my time, enjoy the game.
So, for those who are able to forge at lower levels, not have a lot of coils, that is great and I wish them luck, many do so just fine in making their iron tools better and I support them for those decisions. It is just my personal quirk that I have to be at the top level before I start to do something. I don’t expect others to do the same as I do.
I want to be as prepared as I can.
I’ve found forging on slingbows using effect gum for damage and crit effect and another boon either lightness or longevity works pretty good. All 3 lightness boons can be used. Projectile speed, busy bee and fast flying are all good boons. No bad ones. And longevity is range and durability so both helpful.
