I think if we give it a little more time, we might see something they’v got planned. The decorating of the Sanctum was mentioned by a dev alongside it being used for future plans

You can now edit the sanctum in Boundless! Of course, this is the very early days of the feature, but it lays the groundwork - you could say, the blueprint - for future updates that we’re really excited about.
